[Bug 2042859] Re: [snap] Firefox snap cannot use kerberos authentication
In bug #1970182 there is a workaround for the issue: adding something similar to default_ccache_name = FILE:/home/%{username}/krb5cc under [libdefaults] will make the ticket store visible to firefox and, thus, fix the authentication. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2042859 Title: [snap] Firefox snap cannot use kerberos authentication To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/2042859/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1970282] Re: Flatpak apps are not properly themed if a accent color other than the default is choosed
I've read a little more and it seems that the Flatpak themes in Flathub are not necessarily the ones from Yaru but others created by a fork called Yaru-Colors. [Bug 1970282] Re: Flatpak apps are not properly themed if a accent color other than the default is choosed
Hi @nnicocarbone. I didn't know I needed to install the accent color themes manually (I'd say most users wouldn't know how to do it). I visited Flathub and now I have these themes installed: - org.gtk.Gtk3theme.Yaru - org.gtk.Gtk3theme.Yaru-Orange - org.gtk.Gtk3theme.Yaru-Orange-dark - org.gtk.Gtk3theme.Yaru-Orange-light - org.gtk.Gtk3theme.Yaru-Orange-light - org.gtk.Gtk3theme.Yaru-dark I've selected the dark theme and an orange accent in Ubuntu but Extension Manager is still showing a blue accent. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1970282 Title: Flatpak apps are not properly themed if a accent color other than the default is choosed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/yaru-theme/+bug/1970282/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1970282] Re: Flatpak apps are not properly themed if a accent color other than the default is choosed
I'm also seeing this. There are popular GNOME apps that recommend installing them as Flatpak so it could generate some inconsistency. apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected impish ubuntu ** Description changed: After updating to kernel 5.13.0-23 I started having issues. Startup and logging are extremely slow. When I try to run firefox a dialog box shows up saying it is not respondig and asking to wait or forcequit. If a wait it eventually opens (after over a minute) and seems to work correctly. Similar issues occur when trying to run mpv. In some cases the computer might even hang completely. I am running Ubuntu Budgie 21.10 (budgie-desktop 10.5.3). I also have Xmonad installed. [Bug 1956005] [NEW] Firefox Snap won't open links to WhatsApp API
Public bug reported: The .deb version of Firefox handles links to WhatsApp API (https://api.whatsapp.com/send/?phone=) without any problem: these links open the WhatsApp web client. Snap version of Firefox doesn't know how to handle these links. It opens the pop up "Choose an application to open whatsapp lnks" that only shows the option System Handler (which fails opening them if selected). [Bug 1945327] [NEW] Touchpad recognized as mouse - Multitouch gestures not working
Public bug reported: I'm having a problem with my laptop, as the title says: The trackpad is being recognized as a mouse, so I don't have multitouch gestures, other than scrolling. I can't switch apps with gestures, I can't change trackbar specific configurations, because, according to the System Settings panel, I've got a mouse, not a trackpad. Not only that, but I had this same problem in Linux Mint and Ubuntu Mate 18.04, so I believe that it's not a distro-specific problem, so I don't know if this is the correct channel. Initially the ticket was generated from Kubuntu 18.04 (the commands I've run are from that version, IRC), since then, I've updated to Kubuntu 20.10 I've tried following a couple of other guides to try to make the multitouch gestures work, but most are for previous kernel versions and are focused on just making the touchpad work, AFAIK. My laptop is a Lenovo V330-15IKB. [Bug 1875671] Re: wayland: desktop folder missing in sidebar
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtk/-/issues/2569 has been closed. The final comment says "the gtk-shell-shows-desktop capability is sent from the Shell on Wayland, so it's entirely up to the shell to determine whether or not the desktop is available". So: who is responsibly for fixing this? It did already happen in the installation medium (a flash key) and I couldn't resize the partitions, had to borrow a mouse from a friend to even install Ubuntu. I attach the output of < ~/devices>> as requested in this page: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingTouchpadDetection I don't know how to locate the exact package where the bug is or if is one of the kernel. [Bug 1810183] Re: numpad on touchpad doesn't work in ASUS Zenbook 14
Great. You can introduce in the install.sh a option for ZenBook UX363EA_UX363EA. And a new .py file to this notebook. If you do this I test it to check that it's ok. For touchpad_numpad_m433ia.py I have edited the lines 9 and 10, fixing the interface to turn ON/OFF. Because my touchpar interface is the 14, as we can check here: # i2cdetect -l i2c-3 i2c i915 gmbus dpb I2C adapter i2c-10 i2c i915 gmbus tc6 I2C adapter i2c-1 i2c Synopsys DesignWare I2C adapter I2C adapter i2c-8 i2c i915 gmbus tc4 I2C adapter i2c-6 i2c i915 gmbus tc2 I2C adapter i2c-13 i2c AUX E/port EI2C adapter i2c-4 i2c i915 gmbus dpc I2C adapter i2c-11 i2c AUX A/port AI2C adapter i2c-2 i2c i915 gmbus dpa I2C adapter i2c-0 smbus SMBus I801 adapter at efa0 SMBus adapter i2c-9 i2c i915 gmbus tc5 I2C adapter i2c-7 i2c i915 gmbus tc3 I2C adapter i2c-14 i2c Synopsys DesignWare I2C adapter I2C adapter i2c-5 i2c i915 gmbus tc1 I2C adapter i2c-12 i2c AUX D/port DI2C adapter And I edited the line 25 to: if touchpad_detected == 0 and "Name=\"ASUE" in line and "Touchpad" in line: I have replaced line 99: dev.enable(EV_KEY.KEY_APOSTROPHE) by: dev.enable(EV_KEY.KEY_5) Line 234 value = EV_KEY.KEY_APOSTROPHE by: value = EV_KEY.KEY_5 And line 249: if value == EV_KEY.KEY_APOSTROPHE : by: if value == EV_KEY.KEY_5 : -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1810183 Title: numpad on touchpad doesn't work in ASUS Zenbook 14 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/1810183/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Thanks Mohamed. I have tested your suggestion, but don't worked for me. Maybe I'm not doing it right. I have a qwerty keyboard, Spanish distribution. [Bug 1810183] Re: numpad on touchpad doesn't work in ASUS Zenbook 14
Just testing the script for ZenBook UX363EA_UX363EA, with ubuntu 20.04. The available script named touchpad_numpad_m433ia.py works for me with a minor fix, as I can describe: 1) install.sh script detects the correct interface of the numeric pad: # bash install.sh Testing interface i2c-1 : failed Testing interface i2c-14 : sucess ... Then I could test edit boot python scripts I found inside the folder and test it. 2) For touchpad_numpad_m433ia.py I have edited the lines 9 and 10, fixing the interface to turn ON/OFF. I edited the line 25 to: if touchpad_detected == 0 and "Name=\"ASUE" in line and "Touchpad" in line: Known issues: My numeric pad has % key, but don't works. On the code as mapped to "APOSTROPHE". I checked here, https://elixir.bootlin.com/linux/v5.11.11/source/include/uapi/linux /input-event-codes.h , to try to fix it, but I have not found the corresponding entry. Please if you known how to fix it, let me know. https://www.asus.com/Laptops/For-Home/ZenBook/Zenbook-Flip-13-UX363 -11th-gen-Intel/ -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1810183 Title: numpad on touchpad doesn't work in ASUS Zenbook 14 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/1810183/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1878315] Re: Ubuntu is unable to detect my GPU
No, it happens all the time. You can do a full reboot, you can sleep/unsleep, shutdown... but the card isn't still detected. Also my computer has a indicator on the Power button that shows whenever the Nvidia Graphic Card is used. This is independent of the OS and of the drivers and it has never turn on on my system after the upgrade to Ubuntu 20 (but in Windows it still works). Also, apparently my CPU is now a Xeon, and I didn't know it. $ lspci 00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200 v6/7th Gen Core Processor Host Bridge/DRAM Registers (rev 05) (It's actually an i7-7700HQ). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1878315 Title: Ubuntu is unable to detect my GPU To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1878315/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1878315] [NEW] Ubuntu is unable to detect my GPU
Public bug reported: I have an MSI laptop which was working fine with Ubuntu 18, but I decided to upgrade. It has one of these dual graphics setups, which and Intel HD 630 and a NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB. On Ubuntu 18, I simply get the NVIDIA GPU to work by selecting its drivers on the "Additional Drivers" tab under "Software and Updates", but on this version of Ubuntu, my GPU doesn't appear there any more. Also, if I type this in the console: $ lspci | grep -i --color 'vga\|3d\|2d' This is the only line I get: 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation HD Graphics 630 (rev 04) Just in case, my laptop model is this: https://es.msi.com/Laptop/GL72VR- 7RFX Any help would be appreciated. [Bug 1858300] [NEW] Ubuntu crashed unexpectedly, couldn't find i386-pc/normal.mod, system doesn't boot
Public bug reported: I'm not sure. First I tried to locate where is the i386-pc/normal.mod from which start the system, it didn't work. Tried to reinstall Ubuntu deleting the previous one, and couldn't find EFI file, so the system won't boot, installation didn't end right. [Bug 1784485] Re: [ZenBook S UX391UA, Realtek ALC294, Mic, Internal] No sound at all
I managed to solve it in my Asus ZenBook UX433F. I'm running Ubuntu 18.04. Download the appropriate files from: https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/ For example: linux-headers-4.19.11-041911_4.19.11-041911.201812191931_all.deb linux-headers-4.19.11-041911-generic_4.19.11-041911.201812191931_amd64.deb linux-image-unsigned-4.19.11-041911-generic_4.19.11-041911.201812191931_amd64.deb linux-modules-4.19.11-041911-generic_4.19.11-041911.201812191931_amd64.deb 2. Install each one in the appropriate order: sudo dpkg -i linux-headers-4.19.11-041911_4.19.11-041911.201812191931_all.deb sudo dpkg -i linux-headers-4.19.11-041911-generic_4.19.11-041911.201812191931_amd64.deb sudo dpkg -i linux-modules-4.19.11-041911-generic_4.19.11-041911.201812191931_amd64.deb sudo dpkg -i linux-image-unsigned-4.19.11-041911-generic_4.19.11-041911.201812191931_amd64.deb 3. [Bug 1784774] Re: snapd is not autofs aware and fails with nfs home dir
I created a patch to workaround this problem: https://github.com/bryant1410/snapd/commit/a9831da29aba7a4905647ff582061ac399a3b240 It's basically hardcoding a value. I'm not sure what the correct behavior should be for all the cases that /home is autofs, or if it should check that /home/user is NFS instead. So, as a workaround, you can clone the repo, checkout that commit, build from source as stated in the repo, place the snapd executable in /usr/local/bin and edit the systemctl service file (/lib/systemd/system/snapd.service) to point to that executable instead. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1784774 Title: snapd is not autofs aware and fails with nfs home dir To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/snapd/+bug/1784774/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1768497] Re: Upgrade from 17.10 to 18.04 lost native 3D hardware acceleration for intel UHD 620, laptop is XPS 9370
Ok, found the culprit, for some reason LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE was set to 1, apparently, this tells Ubuntu to use the LLVM renderer. The article below says this is sometimes set when the GUI does not work correctly or crashes. I have been lately been switching between Wayland and Xorg, and had a couple of crashes in Wayland, so maybe it happened on one of those occasions. This is pure speculation on my part. I found the solution at https://askubuntu.com/questions/908381/desktop- stuck-on-software-rendering-libgl-always-software- set?utm_medium=organic&utm_source=google_rich_qa&utm_campaign=google_rich_qa Basically, type systemctl --user unset-environment LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE and reboot, then glxinfo and system settings report the correct UHD renderer is being used ;-) Not sure if I should close the bug or not, this is a fix but no idea why LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE was set to 1. I am happy to collaborate if anybody wants to investigate it, otherwise, I am also happy if somebody wants to close it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1768497 Title: Upgrade from 17.10 to 18.04 lost native 3D hardware acceleration for intel UHD 620, laptop is XPS 9370 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1768497/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
