[Bug 1075453] [NEW] [needs-packaging] libgexf

2012-11-06 Thread Santiago M. Mola
Public bug reported:

---
GEXF (Graph Exchange XML Format) is a language for describing complex networks
structures, their associated data and dynamics. Started in 2007 at Gephi
project by different actors, deeply involved in graph exchange issues, the gexf
specifications are mature enough to claim being both extensible and open, and
suitable for real specific applications.
---
Libgexf is the official C++ toolkit library for the GEXF file format. It is
free software available under the MIT License. Though the library is written in
C++ a variety of language bindings make it available in other environments.
---

They already have some deb packaging in their Launchpad account:

[Bug 873191] Re: Ubuntu starts with lowest brightness on HP G62[regression]

2012-09-18 Thread Santiago M. Mola
Note that the problem is unrelated to ATI. I have access to two G62. One
of them has both an integrated Intel graphics card and an ATI Radeon.
The other has just the Intel card. Both suffer the same problem since
Oneiric (and persisting in Precise).

Model without ATI:
$ lspci|grep VGA
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Core Processor Integrated
Graphics Controller (rev 02)

Model with ATI:
$ lspci|grep VGA
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Core Processor Integrated
Graphics Controller (rev 02)
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI
Manhattan [Mobility Radeon HD 5400 Series] (rev ff)

[Bug 41301] Re: Mouse clicks stop working sporadically

2012-03-29 Thread Santiago M. Mola
I suspect there are different bugs mixed here. If you are experiencing
this problem and:

- You are running 'nautilus'.
- Maybe you use the 'awesome' window manager.
- 'evtest' actually shows all mouse events.

Then: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/awesome/+bug/884255

[Bug 884255] Re: [HP G62] System is non-responsive to mouse/touchpad clicks

2012-03-22 Thread Santiago M. Mola
** Package changed: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics (Ubuntu) => awesome
(Ubuntu)

** Changed in: awesome (Ubuntu)
   Status: New => Confirmed

** Summary changed:

- [HP G62] System is non-responsive to mouse/touchpad clicks
+ [awesome + nautilus] System is non-responsive to mouse/touchpad clicks

** Description changed:

+ UPDATE: This bug is triggered by the use of the awesome window manager
+ and nautilus. I have confirmed this in different hardware with similar
+ set up.
+
Sometimes, after an undefined amount of time using my HP G62 laptop,
system ignores clicks either from mouse or touchpad. Mouse/touchpad
movement still works, but not clicks.

There's also another problem that appears that Thunderbird keeps opening
repeatedly. I thought the "Mail" hotkey would be locked, but it's not
the case, since evtest doesn't show up events for this key when it
happens. I think both problems might be related.

-
I haven't had the chance to test yet:
  - evtest: Check if the click events are generated when this happens.
  - Check if the problem persists after disabling hotkeys.

[Bug 884255] Re: [HP G62] System is non-responsive to mouse/touchpad clicks

2012-03-09 Thread Santiago M. Mola
I have just experienced the same issue in a completely different computer with
very similar set up. After seeing these posts:
http://markmail.org/message/rm3pogzilxg7qakl
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1801465&page=2

The common factor seem to be the awesome window manager used in
conjunction with Gnome. Someone suggested it's related to nautilus. And
it seems to be true: when this happens, killing nautilus solves the
problem.

** Description changed:

Sometimes, after an undefined amount of time using my HP G62 laptop,
system ignores clicks either from mouse or touchpad. Mouse/touchpad
movement still works, but not clicks.

There's also another problem that appears that Thunderbird keeps opening
repeatedly. I thought the "Mail" hotkey would be locked, but it's not
the case, since evtest doesn't show up events for this key when it
happens. I think both problems might be related.

I haven't had the chance to test yet:
  - evtest: Check if the click events are generated when this happens.
  - Check if the problem persists after disabling hotkeys.

[Bug 884255] Re: [HP G62] System is non-responsive to mouse/touchpad clicks

2011-12-19 Thread Santiago M. Mola
Note that, when this happens, I can see with 'evtest' the click events,
but they'll produce no effect. Restarting the X server solves the
problem.

[Bug 774475] Re: Lexmark multifunction printer does not work as scanner after upgrade to Natty

2011-11-07 Thread Santiago M. Mola
I can confirm the bug on Ubuntu Oneiric with Lexmark X1150. The
workaround described by Ashley Hooper on #4 worked here.

[Bug 184255] Re: zsnes fails to build on amd64

2011-10-31 Thread Santiago M. Mola
In the mean time, after almost 4 years of this bug being open, it would
be worth to provide bsnes. It is a viable alternative with native amd64
support and is supposed to have more emulation accuracy than both zsnes
and snes9x. Check the corresponding bug:

[Bug 884255] [NEW] [HP G62] System is non-responsive to mouse/touchpad clicks

2011-10-31 Thread Santiago M. Mola
Public bug reported:

[Bug 661768] Re: HP G62-a50SM keyboard fn and special keys

2011-10-26 Thread Santiago M. Mola
This is not an issue in oneiric. I had this problem on natty but not on
oneiric (both after upgrade or fresh install). Media player hotkey is
still dead, but that's being dealt with in:
