[Bug 1841440] [NEW] Radio streaming reconnect with exponential backoff

2019-08-26 Thread Sasa Stamenkovic
Public bug reported:

When streaming radio (e.g. http://91.121.222.81:8416/listen.mp3) and
there is a streaming error (tend to happen often with most stations),
instead of displaying error popup, try to reconnect. It's a good
practice to try several times with exponential backoff.

Without this, playback is stopped until user comes back to compuiter and
hits play again, which will work in 99%, but is a drag.

[Bug 733836] Re: "Error: file not found" when booting, then boots up anyway

I have exact same problem after installing 16.04 using this procedure
https://gist.github.com/umpirsky/6ee1f870e759815333c8

I guess this line:

grub-install --boot-directory=/boot --bootloader-id=Ubuntu
--target=x86_64-efi --efi-directory=/boot/efi --recheck

is critical. If anyone has idea how to fix it, that would be highly
appreciated.

Thanks.

[Bug 949992] Re: Upgrade from Lucid to Precise results in broken grub configuration

2016-04-27 Thread Sasa Stamenkovic
I'm getting this "unknown command hwmatch" message on each boot after I
installed Ubuntu 16.04 following this steps:
https://gist.github.com/umpirsky/6ee1f870e759815333c8

Special attention to `apt-get install -y grub-efi-amd64` part
https://gist.github.com/umpirsky/6ee1f870e759815333c8#file-ubuntu-raid-
sh-L40

For some reason I couldn't use apt-get, so I installed it manually
downloading deb and using dpkg -i.

System boots normally, but I would like to fix this error. Is there any
way to update config and fix it?

Thanks.

[Bug 1359211] Re: Mouse cursor tiny when hovering unity elements in high DPI mode

2015-12-12 Thread Sasa Stamenkovic
Just installed Ubuntu 15.10 on Asus Zenbook, and I am facing exactly
same issue.

Adding Xcursor*size: 48 to /etc/X11/Xresources/x11-common didn't work
for me, restarting unity helps, but after reboot it happens again.

Is there any other workaround?

I see adding export XCURSOR_SIZE=48 somewhere in unity startup code is
alternative approach, can someone please hint me where can I add this?

Dash is PITA from the beginning. I really don't understand why, it is
really slow and consumes more memory comparing to Gnome.

[Bug 1075516] [NEW] Copy hangs in local network

2012-11-06 Thread Sasa Stamenkovic
Public bug reported:

I copy files from one Ubuntu system to another. They are both in local
wireless network.

I shared entire dir on one, and tried to copy some files to another. It
works for some time and then it just hangs at some point.

Here is the example screenshot, it just hangs like this
http://i.stack.imgur.com/KAaHA.png.

After I cancel, Nautilus icon in lauchbar keeps progress bar, so I guess
there is some problem.

If you need any additional info, logs or whatever is required to
reproduce and fix this bug, I can provide it.

[Bug 1031363] [NEW] Active Window is Not on Top

2012-07-31 Thread Sasa Stamenkovic
Public bug reported:

Again and again I have same issue with active window.

When I run some new app, in some cases it is shown on top, but is not
the active widow, active window remains the window I worked in before
running new app.

So, it happens that you run some app, and it shows up, you press Alt +
F4, and you close the wrong window.

It is reproduced in the video attached, where I was in Gedit, then
clicked trash icon, Nautilus opened trash, I clicked on window close,
and instead closing Nautilus I closed Gedit.

IMO, window on top should be active by default (if always on top is not
clicked). So what you see is what you get.

I had problem to achieve this when developing PyGTK application, when I
activate window from application indicator I never know if he will get
focus. Looks like window manager have some isues.

[Bug 1031366] [NEW] Keyboard layout indicator reacts incorrectly

2012-07-31 Thread Sasa Stamenkovic
Public bug reported:

There was similar bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-

Sebastien Bacher recommended to open a new one if problem still exists
in 12.04.

So, here it is, please take look at video attached in order to reproduce
it.

Basicly, I opened Gedit and Terminal, changed keyboard layout in Gedit,
switched to another keyboard in Terminal, and indicator stuck in Serbian
(Latin) even if Gedit was in Cyrillic layout.

[Bug 1001973] Re: netbeans icon does not show in unity launcher after starting and stopping netbeans a few times

2012-05-25 Thread Sasa Stamenkovic
I have latest Unity and latest NetBeans (7.1.2).

I get this behavior, but not so often. You can't just download and try
few times. I can't reproduce it any time, but it happens. I recorded a
video you mentioned in comment #6, and have running both latest versions
at the time of recording.

More often it happens with skype windows, I can reproduce that one any
time.

If you need some additional information (logs, configs...) I can provide
that.

2012-05-24 Thread Sasa Stamenkovic

Many times, it happens that there is no application icon in launcher,
nor in app switcher (Alt + tab).

I have recorded video where I reproduce this behavior on 12.04 with

When I switch from NetBeans to any other app I have no option to go back

[Bug 909285] [NEW] Application Icon is Blurred

2011-12-28 Thread Sasa Stamenkovic
Public bug reported:

This happens when application is under development (no .desktop file)
and not installed from software center or package.

To reproduce bug the easiest way would be to create new Ubuntu
application with Quickly:

$quickly create ubuntu-application foobar
$cd foobar
$quickly run

Check application icon in Unity launcher and application switcher (Alt +
Tab), it is very blurred.

Is this a bu? Is there some workaround for this?

[Bug 884136] Re: Gedit icon is missing

2011-12-01 Thread Sasa Stamenkovic
Another thing I noticed.

When Gedit is opened from launcher, it has icon, then when I open some
file from Nautilus (double click) it opens file in a new window instead
in a new tab in already opened Gedit instance. Is this expected
behavior?

I'm afraid I have two Gedits installed, one invalid used by Nautilus (no
icon), and one regular run from launcher.
