[Bug 950682] [NEW] Can't disable the xubuntu shutdown/reboot/logout confirmation

2012-03-09 Thread Sascha Morr
Public bug reported:

It's impossible to disable the confirmation for shutdown/reboot/logout
on Xubuntu 12.04 LTS beta. You will find the Option here:

Application Menu => Settings => Session and Startup => General = Prompt
on logout

Disabling 'Prompt on logout' will change nothing.

Same problem here on Lubuntu 11.10 with Firefox 10.0.2 and Chromium

bookmarks into Chromium and can't import Chromium bookmarks into

2012-02-20 Thread Sascha Morr
Here is a workaround for you:

http://rosenred.wordpress.com/2011/07/22/how-to-import-bookmarks-sf/

Have a look at the first comment (from Joe Beck) at the article. This
should be the best and cleanest way.

[Bug 496100] [NEW] Ubuntu lucid: brocken dependency in xserver-xorg-driver-nouveau

2009-12-12 Thread Sascha Morr
Public bug reported:

Just install the new ubuntu alpha on my testing machine. There are a
broken dependency for the package xserver-xorg-driver-nouveau. When i
try to install it i get the following message:

sas...@workgroup:~> sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-video-nouveau
Paketlisten werden gelesen... Fertig
Abhängigkeitsbaum wird aufgebaut
Lese Status-Informationen ein... Fertig

  xserver-xorg-video-nouveau: Hängt ab: xserver-xorg-core (>= 2:1.6.2) soll
aber nicht installiert werden
E: Kaputte Pakete
sas...@workgroup:~>

The package xserver-xorg-core is already installed, but in version
2:1.7.2-2ubuntu2. So i thing the dependency in xserver-xorg-driver-
nouvenau must be corrected.

[Bug 355620] [NEW] Firefox hangs up while uploading a text

2009-04-05 Thread Sascha Morr
Public bug reported:

When i send a longer comment on to a article at blog.de firefox hangs up
itself. Opera does the same job without of any problem. I use ubuntu
9.04 beta. The text i would post is the following:

-->

so recht etwas vom anderen weiß.

Dann schau mal hier: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gladio

2008-04-07 Thread Sascha Morr
Yesterday i install ubunut 8.04 Beta on a PC with nvidia nforce chipset,
AM2 Socket, a AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+ and a GeForce
8400GS with 256 MB. After the installation it was a hard work to get the
xserver run without a black screen. After this and when the nvidia-
drivers are running i get with activated compiz ping shadows too. Btw.
Ubuntu means my graphic card is a GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 with 512 MB.

Cheers

PS. The picture in the attachment shows the ping shadow on a white desktop
background.

Is it possible that this is a Problem between compiz and the window

flare into the title bar chancing a subject in a thunderbird message
window but thats all. A Problem between compiz and some gtk-engines?

[Bug 196017] Re: After last dist-upgrade: double mouseclick, slow system, no nvidia drivers

2008-02-27 Thread Sascha Morr
I think i have a solution for the *doubleclick-problem*

1. Logout
2. Switch zu TTY1: Alt + F1
3. Stop GDM: sudo killall gdm
4. Reconfigure the xserver: sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
5. DON'T chance any setting just juicing OK
6. Restart GDM: sudo gdm
7. Login

here the mouse buttons works now very well. The think that annoy me it
that the console reconfigureation of the xserver is massive crippled.

(hm bad english :-( )

Public bug reported:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~> sudo apt-get install gnome-art

People with ATI display adapters may get a blank screen when loading X due to
the driver being unable to initialize certain hardware. Upstream is working on
it, and hopefully we'll be able to release an update for 7.10 soon after the
release. In the meantime, add 'Option "LVDSBiosNativeMode" "false"' to the
driver section of xorg.conf. Bug #132716
<--

After i change the xorg.conf i could start with a resolution of 800x600
pixels. Then i use the grafical tool to chance the resolution to
1280x1024 pixels, the normal resolution of my display.

cheers
Sascha
