[Bug 1643345] Re: nvidia-367 367.57-0ubuntu0.16.04.1: nvidia-367 kernel module failed to build [Makefile:81: recipe for target 'modules' failed]
I am not sure if my issue is the same, but I have a system that has been upgraded several times now. Currently I cannot use an nVidia driver newer than 358. Anything newer than that, and while it applies ok via Additional Drivers (I'm using the Proprietary GPU Drivers PPA), on reboot it hangs with a black screen and flashing cursor even before I get to the LUKS password prompt. If I purge nvidia drivers from recovery mode and switch back to Nouveau then I'm fine and can re-select 358.16. Ubuntu (Xubuntu) 16.04 w/ an Asus GeForce GTX 750 card. According to nVidia, the recommended driver for this card is 375 which is one of the newer ones I tried to no avail. I'll watch this bug in case there's any additional data I can provide to help or at least rule out that these two issues are related. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1643345 Title: nvidia-367 367.57-0ubuntu0.16.04.1: nvidia-367 kernel module failed to build [Makefile:81: recipe for target 'modules' failed] To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-367/+bug/1643345/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1512002] Re: Annoying dialog "Authentication is required to change your own user data"
I've been experiencing this same bug for a few Xubuntu versions now. I'm not sure if it's fully/always related to bug# 316691 as I don't do any sort of network authentication here and never have. Been scouring the internet for ages now looking for a solution... all I've seen so far are hacks that seem unsafe and not recommended, or potential fixes that didn't fix things for me. Meanwhile the number of users affected (going by public posting locatable via Google searches) seem to be growing monthly... considerably more than who are lucky enough to stumble upon this bug and are participating here. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1512002 Title: Annoying dialog "Authentication is required to change your own user data" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/policykit-1-gnome/+bug/1512002/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1396361] Re: Double Mouse Cursor
I get this a lot myself. The only temporary solution is to reboot but it comes back eventually. Xubuntu 14.10 This seems identical to bug 1393169. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1396361 Title: Double Mouse Cursor To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xinput/+bug/1396361/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
