[Bug 154613] Re: Xinerama prevents Java fullscreen exclusive mode in Gutsy
I get something of an error regardless which JVM I use (I used java6, java5, and downloaded 1.4.2 directly from Sun). I'm not sure exactly how related this is, but I get other problems (I have a Java app whose Oracle JDBC driver can't even do a simple connect to a database). The JVM doesn't CRASH, but it does have a few xinerama references in the stack trace. I don't know if this is related to bug #174759 or not, but see attachment in case it rings any bells. ** Attachment added: "Error appearing in stdout occasionally while running a Java app" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/13839426/assertion_failure.txt -- Xinerama prevents Java fullscreen exclusive mode in Gutsy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/154613 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 174759] Re: Eclipse crashes due to jvm crash
The IBM Java6 SDK doesn't trigger this bug, so if you can live with that in the time being, it seems a good substitute until this gets fixed. -- Eclipse crashes due to jvm crash https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/174759 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 206620] Re: JVM utterly unstable with Eclipse 3.2.2/3.3 on x86_64
I'm inclined to agree with Vittorio. I get the same problem with Hardy using an x64 JDK downloaded directly from Sun (1.6.0_06). -- JVM utterly unstable with Eclipse 3.2.2/3.3 on x86_64 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/206620 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 82314] Re: pata driver in libata not mounting /home
I'm seeing those messages, but nothing related to host protected area. So should I be using the old drivers, or open a new bug report for this? -- pata driver in libata not mounting /home https://launchpad.net/bugs/82314 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 82314] Re: pata driver in libata not mounting /home
It seems it boots successfully sometimes, but that (I think) depends on the order the devices are enumerated. I grabbed a dmesg of both a fail and success, and spotted a couple of differences (if it helps)--note I don't see any line about HPA, yet the old ide driver detects it (Host Protected Area detected, followed by disabled) so I apparently do have it... (- is fail, + is successful boot): -ata1.00: 78125000 sectors, multi 16: LBA +ata1.00: 80043264 sectors, multi 16: LBA -SCSI device sda: 78125000 512-byte hdwr sectors (4 MB) +SCSI device sda: 80043264 512-byte hdwr sectors (40982 MB) -SCSI device sda: 78125000 512-byte hdwr sectors (4 MB) +SCSI device sda: 80043264 512-byte hdwr sectors (40982 MB) - sda: p3 exceeds device capacity -attempt to access beyond end of device -sda: rw=0, want=80043080, limit=78125000 -Buffer I/O error on device sda3, logical block 9864768 Besides the obvious disk size discrepancy, the only other noticable difference is that my network card gets initialized BEFORE the ATA driver in the successful bootand AFTER the ATA driver in the failed boot... so maybe it's an ACPI issue? HTH, I see Kyle mentioned testers a couple of weeks ago, I'm not sure if that's what was in mind :). -- pata driver in libata not mounting /home https://launchpad.net/bugs/82314 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 82314] Re: pata driver in libata not mounting /home
This is the only bug I could find that I thought might be related to my issue. I was going to try blacklisting the ata drivers as suggested above, but I'm not sure how to include all the necessary ones to get the old IDE driver (for now). I started having problems with 2.6.20-12, though -11 works fine. Like other symptoms reported here, it's detecting my devices as SCSI sda devices rather than the usual hda stuff, and I'm not sure whether this is an issue or by design, but -12 and -13 won't boot. I managed to get a dmesg with -12 as /boot (hda1, though it saw it as sda1) managed to mount properly. I was getting warnings with -13, but I don't care, there's nothing valuable on this machine :). Cheers. -Scott ** Attachment added: "3 dmesg from 2.6.20-{13,12,11} (in that order)" http://librarian.launchpad.net/6991211/tmp.txt -- pata driver in libata not mounting /home https://launchpad.net/bugs/82314 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 92730] Re: Sudoku thought I was finished, but I wasn't (1 cell left)
1 - See screenshot 2 - Cleared the erroneous 2 in row 4, column 7 by clicking on it, and clicking on the Clear button. 3 - Cleared the top-most '1' hint. 4 - Cleared the remaining '1' hint. 5 - Filled in a '1' in row 5, column 7. 6 - Cleared the remaining '5' hint. 7 - BUG: High scores popped up. After clicking OK, I was taken to the "Select Game" screen. I clicked Cancel, and was brought back to my unfinished game. I could Undo/Redo all I wanted to, and even reproduce the problem as many times as I wanted. When I filled the remaining square with a '3' nothing happened. [Bug 92730] Sudoku thought I was finished, but I wasn't (1 cell left)
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-games I had 3 cells left before the puzzle was complete. I accidentally filled the wrong one, so I cleared it. Then I filled one of the remaining 3, then a second one. I still had one empty cell left (the one that was cleared earlier), but the high scores popped up. I'm hoping after this I can attach a screenshot, so bear with me :).
