Re: [Bug 1457776] Re: virtualbox-dkms 4.3.10-dfsg-1: virtualbox kernel module failed to build [error: macro "alloc_netdev" requires 4 arguments, but only 3 given]
Earlier in this thread, a 3rd (and IMHO, best) option was mentioned. You can use the LocutusOfBorg PPA. He is the maintainer of the Ubuntu build. His PPA has the latest version (currently 5.0.4) fully open source version of VirtualBox, with VNC enabled, so the commercial Orcale extension is not necessary. As I understand it, the only reason this version is not in the Ubuntu repositories is due to red tape. $ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:costamagnagianfranco/locutusofborg-ppa $ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install virtualbox guest-additions-iso On Tue, Sep 22, 2015 at 3:19 PM, Lonnie Lee Best <1457...@bugs.launchpad.net > wrote: > Are we close on this bug? > > I debating whether to wait on an official Ubuntu Update to fix this OR > do an "outside of repository" install from > https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Linux_Downloads > > Please advise. > > -- > You received this bug notification because you are subscribed to the bug > report. > https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1457776 > > Title: > virtualbox-dkms 4.3.10-dfsg-1: virtualbox kernel module failed to > build [error: macro "alloc_netdev" requires 4 arguments, but only 3 > given] > > To manage notifications about this bug go to: > https://bugs.launchpad.net/virtualbox/+bug/1457776/+subscriptions > -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1457776 Title: virtualbox-dkms 4.3.10-dfsg-1: virtualbox kernel module failed to build [error: macro "alloc_netdev" requires 4 arguments, but only 3 given] To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/virtualbox/+bug/1457776/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Does your build contain the VNC extention? [Bug 871931] Re: ALT + circumflex can be set in the keybinding settings and conflict with unity
The workaround *kinda* works. Here's how it did for me: 1. start ccsm 2. activate Ubuntu Unity Plugin - Switcher - Key to flip through the windows in the switcher. You will find this option is deactivated. Binding it will not unbind alt+circumflex right away 3. activate Application Switcher Plugin. Click through errors for doubly used bindings 4. play around with both plugins to no avail, notice how alt+circumflex can't be unbound 5. restart system and magically find key unbound -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/871931 Title: ALT + circumflex can be set in the keybinding settings and conflict with unity To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz-core/+bug/871931/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 871931] Re: ALT + circumflex can be set in the keybinding settings and conflict with unity
Alt+Circumflex is used in Japanese IME for Windows to switch input mode. Had IBUS in 10.04 configured to use the same keys for activating Anthy. Having to relearn the keys has significant impact on productivity. So please make the Unity keybinding configurable. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/871931 Title: ALT + circumflex can be set in the keybinding settings and conflict with unity To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/871931/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 23548] Re: Problem with TLS support
This bug had not been an issue for me in Dapper, but has popped up in Edgy. At issue is a connection to a courier imap server using TLS authentication. Evolution gives the error: Failed to connect to IMAP server [server.address] in secure mode: SSL negotiations failed On the server side, Courier logs: couriertls: accept: error:1408F10B:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_RECORD:wrong version number. Courier is running on Debian Stable (Sarge), and is up to date. The IMAP server certificate is of the self-signed lazy let courier set it up variety. Thunderbird continues to connect using TLS correctly. Let me know if there's any other info I can provide to help with this! -- Problem with TLS support https://launchpad.net/bugs/23548 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 23548] Re: Problem with TLS support
P.S. As I mentioned above, I had been using the lazy (localhost) courier cert for TLS authentication. Worth noting that even after switching to a self-signed cert for the correct server address, I have the same issue. -- Problem with TLS support https://launchpad.net/bugs/23548 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
