[Bug 565213] Re: Thunderbird cannot find libmozjs.so

When I use the wrapper script that sets up the environment I do not get
an error message at all. The workaround detailed above also worked for
me -- so I can no longer reproduce the issue to provide more/different
debugging information.

[Bug 439448] Re: notification area shows wrong icons. erratic behaviour

2009-10-29 Thread Sebastian Bergmann
I am still seeing this bug with RC and updated packages.

After login, the notification area shows wrong icons.

In the attached screenshot (after-login.png), for instance, the power
management icon is displayed twice while the NetworkManager icon is not shown
at all.
Removing the notification area from the panel and re-adding it works around the
issue, as can be seen in the attached screenshot (after-na-restart.png).

[Bug 341025] [NEW] Indentation/Positioning of presentation bullet points broken

2009-03-11 Thread Sebastian Bergmann
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: openoffice.org-impress

I can reproduce this issue with the latest OpenOffice.org 3 packages on
both Intrepid and Jaunty.

The position for the first and second level bullets works fine. Starting
with the third level, the position/indentation is "off". A workaround
solves the problem, but only until the presentation is saved and loaded
again.

[Bug 334384] [NEW] iwl3945 cannot be enabled when disabled (via killswitch) during boot

2009-02-25 Thread Sebastian Bergmann
Public bug reported:

I am using an up-to-date Jaunty system on an IBM ThinkPad X60s.

When I boot my notebook with wireless turned off (using the killswitch),
the wireless cannot be enabled by just turning off the killswitch.

The dmesg output below is from booting system with wireless turned off
and then turned on once logged into GNOME:

The problem can be worked around with "rmmod iwl3945 && modprobe

[ 1026.205231] iwl3945: Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG/BG Network Connection

This worked fine (ie. without the workaround) with Intrepid and earlier

[Bug 96861] Wireless connection not activated after boot/login

2007-03-26 Thread Sebastian Bergmann
Public bug reported:

I am using Feisty Fawn (updated to the latest packages) on an IBM/Lenovo
ThinkPad X60s which has a wireless chip supported through the ipw3945
driver.

Until about two weeks ago I had no problems with the wireless with
Feisty Fawn.

After boot/login I now have no network connection. Running ifconfig and
iwconfig manually using the same settings configured in
/etc/network/interfaces the connection immediately becomes active.

I am not using NetworkManager (disabled in
GNOME/System/Preferences/Session).

When I remove the USB cable that connects my screen's card reader / hub,
the boot process continues up to the point where the on-board wireless

[Bug 81596] Feisty Herd 2 does not boot on Core 2 Duo

2007-01-26 Thread Sebastian Bergmann
Public bug reported:

My hardware configuration:

- ASUS P5W DH Deluxe Mainboard
- Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 CPU
- Sapphire Radeon X1950 Pro Ultimate Graphics Card

When I try to boot my computer with the feisty-desktop-amd64.iso CD, I
only get corrupted screen output after the boot manager.

When I try to boot my computer with the feisty-desktop-i386.iso CD, I
can see the bootsplash animation (no screen output corruption) but the
boot process "just hangs".

[Bug 76965] Keyboard Shortcuts do not work with Compiz

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: desktop-effects

I am running Feisty Fawn on my IBM ThinkPad X60s (Intel 945GM graphics

Enabling desktop effects works fine, but

1. (Customized) Keyboard Shortcuts (as configured via the Preferences

enabled.

2. The Workspace Switcher panel applet is not updated while the desktop
effects are enabled.
