Hi Manoj, As said before this bug was fixed/released in the version 21.39-1 of the Debian package. (I'm a co-maintainer of hwinfo inside Debian), hwinfo is automatically pulled from Debian to Ubuntu. Public bug reported: Hi, The syslog-ng package provided in Ubuntu isn't converted to Upstart (the package come from Debian directly). The problem is that SysV init script are launched at the end of the boot process: - Boot Upstart all upstart jobs Compat. SysV End. and if another daemon (using upstart) depends on syslog, it fail (example with nova-compute). The upstream provide a upstart conf¹ in the contrib directory, can you modify the package to use upstart ? Thanks in advance!
