[Bug 254438] Re: realtek RTL8187B wireless card does not work properly. Loss of speed, Range, Reliablity.

2010-05-21 Thread seraph
Medium priority? How can I tell to my friends to use Ubuntu, if they
can't use wifi connection? Sounds like a joke say linux is better, but
please, you can only use wifi with windows drivers, ok? Linux native
drivers for your card simply doesn't work properly! Be free, use linux
(with windows drivers)! Hardware compatibility must be always a high
priority thing! In special for cheap chips like RTL series.

experiencing the same problem.

2009-06-01 Thread Seraph
I can confirm this problem and I have a workaround. I use Ubuntu Jaunty
too. By default Hellannzb uses Python 2.6. After installing Python 2.4
and restarting Hellanzb it worked as it should.

[Bug 347803] Re: pidgin Segmentation fault on launch

2009-03-24 Thread Seraph
I managed to alter the MSN account. It was a WLM account. When I was
able to change it to MSN before it crashed pidgin does start normal. I
changed it to WLM a while back because of other problems with pidgin

[Bug 347803] [NEW] pidgin Segmentation fault on launch

2009-03-24 Thread Seraph
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pidgin

This morning when I wanted to start pidgin it crashed directly before it was
able to connect to my MSN account.
I had just installed all the newest updates (but I don't think there was an
update for pidgin in there).

pidgin --version
Pidgin 2.5.2
On Ubuntu 8.10 AMD64

When I launch pidgin from the terminal I get Segmentation fault

When I launch pidgin from the terminal in debugmode pidgin -d I get

Should I close this bug? In my opinion it still is a bug but with a
workaround.
