[Bug 1926355] Re: Snap applications segfault with new core20 (rev: 1015+)

2021-05-06 Thread Sergio Schvezov
Hi Ian, thanks for raising this. Those would need a rebuild to be mostly
ok, we had a release time bug which we have since fixed
https://github.com/snapcore/snapcraft/commit/0bf7a2e6619b0037a50caeb49d28788c021d0921

If using Snapcraft 4.6.1 this should no longer be the issue for core20.

[Bug 1917676] [NEW] dropped into initramfs after update on March 1

2021-03-03 Thread Sergio Schvezov
Public bug reported:

This is the system I was running when it happened:

- Kubuntu 20.10 install with default encryption settings (LUKS, whole disk)
- upgrade to 21.04
- on Monday March 1 2021 an lvm2 update came in
- after a reboot, get dropped into initramfs

I am attaching a screenshot of the initramfs prompt reproduced by a
colleague. I have since wiped the system as it is my main work machine.
The data itself was not corrupted (could still mount the
partitions/volumes).

I would suspect the issue is brought by
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+archive/primary/+files/lvm2_2.03.11-2ubuntu1_2.03.11-2ubuntu2.diff.gz
which is a debdiff hidden by the no change rebuild that happened after.

[Bug 1865519] [NEW] apparmor depends on python3

2020-03-02 Thread Sergio Schvezov
Public bug reported:

The TL;DR;
- AppArmor depends on python3 to support aa-status.
- snapd depends on apparmor.
- buildd images have no python
- building snaps requires snapd
- snapd does not require aa-status
- building snaps unnecessarily installs python3 onto the system

Proposal:
- Split runtime requirements from apparmor into apparmor-minimal
- have apparmor depend on apparmor-minimal
- change snapd's dependency on apparmor to apparmor-minimal

As shown with the screenshots and availability, I hope it is made clear
that this is not a snapd bug per se but a matter of lack of published
snaps from the publishers of said snaps themselves.

[Bug 1768012] [NEW] Long pressing using a touch screen stays sticky

2018-04-30 Thread Sergio Schvezov
Public bug reported:

One way to reproduce. Using just the touch screen:

- short press firefox from the launcher
- in firefox, go to a website
- find a link on the website and long press on a link
- a context menu shows up (to do something like "Copy link").

After that set of actions, ever short press on the screen simulates a
right click, attaching a trackpad/touchpad also produces a right click
for what should be a left click.

A long press anywhere reproduces this, I just wanted to give and actual
useful use case.

[Bug 1763934] Re: [SRU] New stable micro release 2.41

Upgrade testing done on artful.
Aside from the long running tests, did exploratory testing by creating snaps of
different types.
