[Bug 1723350] Re: sssd offline on boot, stays offline forever (artful, bionic)

2018-03-20 Thread Simon Elmir
Also affects Ubuntu Bionic (18.04)

A nicer workaround, for those using NetworkManager & systemd would be to tell
sssd to try going online when an interface comes up.

Create /etc/NetworkManager/dispatcher.d/sssd_notify with the contents:
#!/bin/bash
case "$2" in
  up|vpn-up) systemctl kill --signal=USR2 sssd.service; ;;
esac

** Summary changed:

- sssd offline on boot, stays offline forever (artful)
+ sssd offline on boot, stays offline forever (artful, bionic)

[Bug 1614806] Re: This package breaks "ark" rar support

2016-10-29 Thread Simon Elmir
Per the kde bug report, this is a known issue
(https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93549) that has already
been fixed upstream.

Please backport the fix from here:

[Bug 1576052] Re: Scrollbar on gtk3 has inconsistent behavior

2016-05-05 Thread Simon Elmir
I'm on Kubuntu, and I'm experiencing the same behavior.
As a workaround, adding the following in the "[Settings]" section of
~/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini or /etc/gtk-3.0/settings.ini fixes it for me:

gtk-primary-button-warps-slider = false

Why the behavior is incorrect in the first place is a reasonable question to
ask.

Serge's package does not include Vlad's patch.
We need a package with Vlad's patch in it so it can be tested.

[Bug 1077359] Re: Gamepad XIN-MO dual arcade

2014-01-14 Thread Simon Elmir
This patch is expected to be included in Ubuntu 14.04 (Trusty).
Users of older versions of Ubuntu will have to install a newer kernel.
Up-to-date packaged kernels can be found at:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/MainlineBuilds (I recommend installing the
newest point release of v3.12. At the time of this comment, it's
v3.12.7-trusty.)

I can confirm the same behavior on an HP TouchPad, Ubuntu 11.04 armel
port (armv7l). I'm running LXDE, and only gtk apps are affected. Firefox
renders fonts correctly, and so do the KDE apps.
