[Bug 494699] Re: Does not support current Lucid kernel (2.6.32) or xserver (1.7)

2010-03-31 Thread Simon Schmid
If you got problems removing xorg-driver-fglrx-dev or xorg-driver-fglrx-
dev then open /var/lib/dpkg/status and search for those packages. Remove
the paragraphs and save the file (don't forget to back it up). Now you
can install the patched driver.

[Bug 289237] Re: nautilus crashes on startup

2008-10-26 Thread Simon Schmid
I'm not sure but when I did the upgrade, pidgin was running (which uses
the pango lib) perhaps pidgin blocked the upgrade of the pango lib.

The console output of nautilus --browser was

Initializing nautilus-share extension
seahorse nautilus module initialized

** (nautilus:8582): WARNING **: Unable to add monitor: Not supported
nautilus: symbol lookup error: nautilus: undefined symbol:
pango_layout_set_height

nautilus --version shows me:

GNOME nautilus 2.24.1

[Bug 289237] [NEW] nautilus crashes on startup

2008-10-25 Thread Simon Schmid
Public bug reported:

Hello,

I upgraded from ubuntu 8.04 to ubuntu 8.10, but I experience some
problems with nautilus. After I logged in to a gnome session, no desktop
icons show up and the cursor keeps loading. And dozens of windows with
the title Starting File Browser are opened.

I opened a shell, typed sudo killall nautilus and they disapperead.
But I can't start nautilus it throws me this error:

Initializing nautilus-share extension
seahorse nautilus module initialized

** (nautilus:8582): WARNING **: Unable to add monitor: Nicht unterstützt
nautilus: symbol lookup error: nautilus: undefined symbol:
pango_layout_set_height

GNOME nautilus 2.24.1

libpango is installed

Thanks for any help!
