If you got problems removing xorg-driver-fglrx-dev or xorg-driver-fglrx- dev then open /var/lib/dpkg/status and search for those packages. Remove the paragraphs and save the file (don't forget to back it up). I'm not sure but when I did the upgrade, pidgin was running (which uses the pango lib) perhaps pidgin blocked the upgrade of the pango lib. [Bug 289237] [NEW] nautilus crashes on startup
Public bug reported: Hello, I upgraded from ubuntu 8.04 to ubuntu 8.10, but I experience some problems with nautilus. After I logged in to a gnome session, no desktop icons show up and the cursor keeps "loading". And dozens of windows with the title "Starting File Browser" are opened. I opened a shell, typed "sudo killall nautilus" and they disapperead.
