[Bug 878918] Re: Keyboard shortcuts works badly

2012-03-25 Thread Simon Watson
Hi Aram,

The bug report you suggest seems to suggest that everything is working
correctly. Or at least, no different to what I would expect.

You could you confirm the problem you are experiencing?

I believe this bug to be a duplicate of one I experienced. I have marked
it as such - and hopefully some of the work arounds on there will
resolve your problem.

[Bug 945632] Re: Laptop touchpad scroll problem

2012-03-25 Thread Simon Watson
It almost sounds like you're getting a 'middle click' action (which
always used to paste stuff in). I think this was at a lower level than
unity, i.e. an X.org feature. I

[Bug 963514] [NEW] Lots of graphics glitches when using dash (and other components)

2012-03-23 Thread Simon Watson
Public bug reported:

I upgraded in the last day or so, and a previously solid Ubuntu 12.04
install, has gone down hill fast.

If I am using an application (for example chrome as I write this)
everything is fine.

If I try and use anything involving unity (the dash, the global menu,
the app switcher) I get lots of flickering. With dash, you can see
chunks of the application underneath flickering, and as best I can tell,
this is the same for the launcher and the global menu.

I'm not really sure where to start in terms of debug for this. Except to
say I am using a Samsung NC10 which has the following graphics
controller:

unity:
  Installed: 5.8.0-0ubuntu1
  Candidate: 5.8.0-0ubuntu1
  Version table:

[Bug 908138] [NEW] gnome-screensaver unlock/switch user buttons unclickable

2011-12-23 Thread Simon Watson
Public bug reported:

When I suspend my laptop (Samsung NC10) and resume the system. The
gnome-screensaver lock dialog box appears.

This is fully functional, I can enter my password and unlock without
problem - except that you cannot use the mouse to click on the Unlock or
Switch User buttons. You can tab, or press alt-* to perform the action.

This is on Precise Pangolin (Alpha 1) - but I have observed it in
oneiric as well.

[Bug 157313] Re: The headphone jack in the docking station doesn't work

2008-07-15 Thread Simon Watson
Just to confirm I've also noticed this problem... I'm running the latest
and greatest stuff - and I still get a revolting 'buzz' along with the
sound out of the dock headphone jack.

Out of the port on the laptop however, the sound is fine!
