Re: [Bug 37214] Re: [dapper] metacity does not respect /apps/metacity/general/mouse_button_modifier properly
I like to map Meta to the windows keys, so that I can bind Meta+key to shortcuts that use the key. My workaround for this bug has been to pick Super in the window properties, and then map meta to the windows keys. [Bug 49056] Re: Backport MediaWiki
Unstable, in the context of Debian, isn't being used to imply that a package is unreliable or something, it means the repositories themselves are unstable, ie. packages are updated often. [Bug 22349] Re: Cpufreq applet locks up desktop with hand Icon (double click) or gnome-panel
Well, this was pretty hard to get working because of the dependencies on newer stuff, and I ended up ignoring them whenever I could get away with it, but I eventually got something built with 2.15.2, and installed it. When I left click or double click on the applet, it doesn't lock up, but a menu doesn't pop up either. Contrast this with the version 2.14.2: when I clicked on that, the applet and the neighboring system monitor applet would stop responding, but only for about 5 seconds. Not as bad as the bug description, but I remember older versions of the applet being worse, to the point where I'd have to kill the panel. if you're not going to ship the latest version of obexftp (my patch made it into 0.20, I believe) in Edgy, please consider applying this patch to 0.19. I tested the current edgy obexftp on my Dapper install (by adding an edgy deb-src to my sources.list ) and it still doesn't work with my phone. [Bug 44717] Re: amarok goes back 10 seconds on seek forward/backward, using xine engine
hey, sorry about the lack of response, I'm not sure why I didn't respond. However, I can say that the problem still exists, for sure. I've reinstalled Dapper since I last commented on this bug, so that I would have a fresh install instead of a Breezy to Dapper upgrade. I have Kubuntu's kde 3.5.3 and amarok 1.4 repositories added, and even with Amarok 1.4, I still see problems with seeking. I tested it before responding to this bug, and at first, it seemed to seek properly, but then I hit the global hotkey for next track 5-10 times, and it started acting up again when I seeked after skipping a bunch of tracks. I filed a bug on KDE's bugzilla at some point about how if one seeks repeatedly very fast, sometimes the seek will end up at the beginning of the track, and the response was that it was xine's fault somehow.
