[Bug 449744] Re: Firefox crashes when attempting to load Firebug 1.5 alphas
Okay... so the question is, where do I go for help? Firebug refuses to help me because this is a custom build of Firefox that doesn't have a Crash Reporter and so they can't find where the issue is. Firefox won't help me because they don't support custom builds of Firefox (all they told me was that they should figure out a way to get Crash Reporter working for custom builds). And now the package maintainer won't help me because I'm using an unstable version of the extension. As I said in my report, this is working fine in the 32-bit Mozilla release, and thus it is highly unlikely that the Firebug team will ever try to diagnose and resolve this issue before 1.5 releases. The 1.5 alpha builds are extremely stable and have some features that really make my life easier. -- Firefox crashes when attempting to load Firebug 1.5 alphas https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/449744 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 449744] [NEW] Firefox crashes when attempting to load Firebug 1.5 alphas
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox I am trying to use alpha versions for the latest Firebug, 1.5. These can be retrieved from: http://getfirebug.com/releases/firebug/1.5X/ I went back several versions and found one that works, so there is some regression in Firebug itself causing the browser to crash when Firebug 1.5 is even installed (not even operating), however they refuse to work with me since the version shipping with Ubuntu has no crash reporter and thus no way to determine what exactly is causing the crash. I am happy to provide any information helping me to reach a result. I am using Kubuntu Karmic 64-bit and really don't want to go through the annoyance of installing 32-bit Firefox with 32-bit flash and all of that. [Bug 403610] Re: kde 4.3 Multiple Monitors tells lies
Low priority? Seriously??? I think it's probably likely that business users make up more than a significant portion of people who use Linux. Adding real multiple monitor support to any non-nVidia hardware is such a huge PITA that even I won't touch it with a ten foot pole, so I'm stuck on a single screen. I'm glad to see that the option is even in Display, but what's the point of having it there if it's not functional, and the likelihood of it being made functional is Low? There really isn't one. This is just one more thing that makes KDE seem less professional than Gnome. I know most of the KDE developers are volunteers and that this is like biting the hand that feeds you, but I think a core goal of future KDE development should be feature parity with other window managers as well as simplifying features that Windows converts desperately need (like disable touchpad when usb mouse is plugged in). If not, I have to question the goal of having a separate window manager at all. I'm not sure about this current issue, but at release in 9.04 I was able to get the wireless to connect to my hidden SSID by connecting to it in Gnome or from the command line prior to logging in to kdm. [Bug 414560] Re: ath9k disassociates/reassociates a lot
I just got a new work laptop a couple of weeks ago and have been having nothing but trouble with the wireless card. 02:00.0 Network controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR928X Wireless Network Adapter (PCI-Express) (rev 01) using the ath9k driver. Depending on the access point I am using, I get a wide variety of results and stability. At home I have a Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 with the Tomato firmware. It is reasonably stable, it disconnects every hour or so without cause which is far better than anywhere else I've used this. At work I have had two different routers that I am unsure of models on, one was a NetGear and the other is a D-Link. With both I lose connection constantly and have to reassociate. This happens at least once every half hour. At another location I have a Linksys WRT54GL. It is almost completely and utterly unusable. The wireless never disassociates, it just stops working completely. I have to manually re-associate with the access point for the connection to start working again. On the Linksys it is really strange because some services continue working while others just die, and eventually they all die. And this happens multiple times every half hour. Often I don't even have a connection the instant I connect to the access point. This is REALLY bad. Atheros cards have been available with an open source driver for a long time and there are tons of open bugs in Launchpad about this same kind of issue with the ath9k driver. -- ath9k disassociates/reassociates a lot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/414560 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
