[Bug 1314160] Re: Apparmor profile violated: cupsd does mknod on /var/cache/samba/gencache.tdb

2017-03-14 Thread Stefan Taferner
The bug is still present in 16.04.2

Add this line to /etc/apparmor.d/local/usr.sbin.cupsd:

/var/cache/samba/* w,

Then 'sudo apparmor_parser -r /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.cupsd'

The reason why including abstractions/samba does not work is because in
abstractions/samba is the '*' missing.

[Bug 1659567] Re: empty ACL warning during cron.daily/logrotate

2017-01-27 Thread Stefan Taferner
As stated in some of the other bug reports, making any blacklist entry lets the
daily warning email go away. I created a file
/etc/squid-deb-proxy/pkg-blacklist.d/01-dummy with the single line:
dummy.package

This works around the issue.

I write this for the case that somebody stumbles about this bug report
in search for a fix.

[Bug 1659567] [NEW] empty ACL warning during cron.daily/logrotate

2017-01-26 Thread Stefan Taferner
Public bug reported:

I daily get an email from logrotate:

/etc/cron.daily/logrotate:
2017/01/26 06:25:01| Warning: empty ACL: acl blockedpkgs urlpath_regex
"/etc/squid-deb-proxy/autogenerated/pkg-blacklist-regexp.acl"

The pkg-blacklist-regexp.acl file is empty.

This is a clean install of Ubuntu Server 16.04.1

The file /etc/squid-deb-proxy/pkg-blacklist.d/10-default contains only comments
- the default
installation of it.

** Affects: squid-deb-proxy (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 1297849] Re: [SRU] Virtual private network connection fails after distribution upgrade due to outdated Network Manager configuration files

2015-06-28 Thread Stefan Taferner
Pavel's patch (0.9.10.1-0ubuntu5~fixed for Vivid) also fixes the problem for me.
Had to reboot to make it work (probably restarting the network manager would
have been sufficient)

[Bug 1167079] Re: some GTK widgets have black backgrounds

2015-05-01 Thread Stefan Taferner
Should this be fixed?

It happens with a fresh 15.04 installation and the handbrake from the 15.04
repository.
However, disabling overlay scrollbars fixes the problem.

[Bug 850195] Re: Document Viewer 2.32.0 (Evince) prints a blank page

Still happens in 13.10.
Printing the same document in Acrobat Reader works.

[Bug 850195] Re: Document Viewer 2.32.0 (Evince) prints a blank page

2013-09-30 Thread Stefan Taferner
Here is an example PDF that prints an empty page for me in 13.04 or
13.10.

Printing to file works, but sending it to the printer (magicolor 4650 via
ethernet
in my case) does not work.

[Bug 979780] Re: rhythmbox crashed with SIGSEGV in PyString_FromString()

2012-12-07 Thread Stefan Taferner
I had this problem too in the past.

However, doing a quick test in quantal I was unable to trigger a crash.
I randomly switched around in the Ubuntu One music store playing
previews and switched to listening radio stations and back to the music
store.

This triggered a crash before, but it works now for me.

[Bug 969576] Re: BUG: unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at (null) [asus_wmi_rfkill_init]

2012-03-31 Thread Stefan Taferner
Another problem that might be related is that "dpkg --pendinging configure"
hangs in initramfs-tools.
Booting the 3.2.0-20 kernel fixes this, so it might be the same driver that
makes problem.
Sorry if this seems off topic, I report this here in the hope that it might be
of any help.

I can also confirm this bug, it happens for me too for every boot since
3.2.0-21, no problems before.
Mainboard is almost the same, Asus P8P67 with internal bluetooth.

Would be nice if the upcoming precise release would get a newer build.
As it is now the bug still exists in the official package.
