[Bug 1546715] [NEW] Reporting error when verbose flag is on
Public bug reported: If the option --verbose is set in variable OPTS the autopostgresqlbackup sends an email with "ERROR REPORTED" even if there is no error at all. The reason is that the --verbose option of pg_dump sends the verbose output to the STDERR. I have attached an update version of the script which avoid to send message if pg_dump report no error (by using the exit code instead of the STDERR output) Moreover the attached version uses a LOGDBG variable for storing debug message of the autopostgresqlbackup script itself, when LOGDBG is empty no log is debug message is saved. ** Affects: autopostgresqlbackup (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "updated script that fixes the bug and enable the logging of debug message" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1546715/+attachment/4573855/+files/autopostgresqlbackup -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1546715 Title: Reporting error when verbose flag is on To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/autopostgresqlbackup/+bug/1546715/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

The patch above is not agains the installation script, because by browsing the bzr maverik branch I figured out that the buggy part of the postinst script is generated automatically by the DEBHELPER "toolchain" so I decided to modify the default network configuration of dnsproxy to be more generic A better solution would be the modification of the configuratin uppon the actual configuration of the host (but it could be too risky) -- dnsproxy 1.16-0.1 package fails to install https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/681303 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 681303] Re: dnsproxy 1.16-0.1 package fails to install
The problem in the installation phase of the package is caused by the following part of the dnsproxy.postinst script if [ -x "/etc/init.d/dnsproxy" ]; then update-rc.d dnsproxy defaults >/dev/null if [ -x "`which invoke-rc.d 2>/dev/null`" ]; then invoke-rc.d dnsproxy start || exit $? else /etc/init.d/dnsproxy start || exit $? fi fi which try to start the dnsproxy deamon. Unfortunatly the default configuration that comes with the dnsproxy is not generic. In fact, the package file /etc/dnsproxy.conf contains the following line listen 192.168.168.1 which avoid the starting of the deamon if the host has different IP address. I believe that the dnsproxy.postinst script should not start the deamon but it should provide a message such as "Please configure the dnsproxy to tailor your need and then start it with the sudo /etc/init.d/dnsproxy start" -- dnsproxy 1.16-0.1 package fails to install https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/681303 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 624598] [NEW] Multiple instance of redmine does not work with passenger
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: redmine After setting up multiple instance of redmine with dpkg-reconfigure redmine if they are accessed by means of apache + fastcgi everything works correctly, while if they are accessed by means of apache + passenger they do not work. In particular, the problem with passenger is that the first instance of redmine accessed by the browser will be the only instance accessible regardless of the URL used. I have attached the apache configuration that proves the reported issue. If you want to test it you have to: 0 - install the packages redmine, passenger, libapache2-mod-fcgid, and libfcgi-ruby1.8 1 - create two instance of redmine called redalpha and redbeta 2 - add the line 127.0.1.1 redalpha redbeta to the file /etc/hosts 3 - disable the fastcgi module and enable the passenger module by typing a2enmod passenger && a2dismod fcgid 4 - copy the attched file in /etc/apache2/sites-available/ and enable them with a2ensite redalpha redbeta 5 - restart apache 6 - from the machine access to http://redalpha/, login as admin and create a project called alpha-project 7 - from the machine access to http://redbeta/ and you will see the alpha-project created 8 - enable fcgid and disable passenger by typing a2enmod fcgid && a2dismod passenger 9 - restart apache 10 - from the machine access to http://redalpha/ and you will see the alpha-project project 11 - from the machine access to http://redbeta/ and you will see no project at all As you can see from the procedure above the steps 6 and 7 shows the issue with passenger, which goes away as soon as fcgid is used (see steps 10 and 11) I hope it can help, Stefano "Kismet" Lenzi ** Affects: redmine (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Multiple instance of redmine does not work with passenger https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/624598 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Public bug reported: I have among others the following kernel available on my system: OLD - 2.6.24-19-386 NEW - 2.6.24-21-386 The OLD one allows me to connect to Wireless LAN which are protected with 128-bit WEP by means of the Intel 2200BG wireless card. On the contrary the NEW one doesn't allow me to connect to WEP protected Wireless LAN. In particular, if I try to execute the command: iwconfig eth0 essid Kismet key s:aabbccddeeff123 I get the following message: Error for wireless request "Set Encode" (8B2A) : SET failed on device eth0 ; Operation not supported. Then by looking at the dmesg output I found the following log entry: [ 1647.745604 ] eth0: could not initialize WEP: load module ieee80211_crypt_wep If you need more information please let me know. ** Affects: linux-backports-modules-2.6.24 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Unable to connect to WLAN protected with WEP by using the intel 2200bg https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/285981 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
