[Bug 68816] Re: [edgy] Crash during shutdown/reboot when using ATI fglrx

2008-04-25 Thread Strash
This does not happened anymore with Hardy Heron (Ubuntu 8.04).

The 18 month support period for Edgy Eft 6.10 has reached it's end of
life. As a result, we are closing the linux-source-2.6.17 Edgy Eft
kernel task. However, please note that this report will remain open
against the actively developed kernel. Thank you for your continued
support and help as we debug this issue.

[Bug 217387] Re: [regression] Asus A6Va blue mail led disappear from /proc/acpi/

2008-04-14 Thread Strash
I find (thanks to Xenom on ubuntu-fr) that you can do the same thing as I want
with the file :
/sys/class/leds/asus\:mail/brightness

but to do this you have to be root... which is annoying to use as a
simple user...

any solution/fix ?

Thanks

Public bug reported:

Since Ubuntu 6.06 the blue mail led in the front of the Asus A6Va could be
switched on by a simple command :
echo 1 > /proc/acpi/asus/mled

This file disappear in Hardy (as well as the "asus" directory).

Can you bring back this feature ?

[Bug 205990] Re: [hardy] splash screen disappears

2008-04-07 Thread Strash
Hi,

Same problem for me on my laptop : Hardy 32bits, EXT3 file system, last
upgrades.

I can add that during the short part of the booting process where the
usplash can be seen, the progress bar is not progressive but just
displaying that the computer is working (little orange bar going from
left to right).

[Bug 111007] Re: Ziggurat - Not a true mahjong solitaire ?

2007-04-29 Thread Strash
In fact I don't know if it was a bug or a rules problem.

In mahjongg game there is only 4 tiles of each. And I find a game with 6
tiles... so it thought that there was a problem... but it's isn't very
important.

I'll check bugzilla to see if I could submit my problem.

Thanks

[Bug 84883] Re: CPU at maximum speed when connected to AC

2007-04-19 Thread Strash
I finally find a way to solve this problem !

I now use the kernel -i386 instead of the -generic ! And CPU scaling
works now both on AC and battery.

If devel can find what was wrong with the generic kernel...

So I done that and... no ameliorations... it's always the same...

Yes ! We're on the way of a solution (maybe)

I didn't try to switch to battery. So when I'm on battery the Ondemand
and Conservative auto scaling works well !!

Maybe it's a matter of laptop-mode ? Is it enabled by default ?

[Bug 99059] Re: [feisty] CPU scaling ondemand stay at 100%

2007-04-03 Thread Strash
When I run those commands the behavior seems the same but now the applet
don't show any changes (if the CPU is at 100% or at 46%, the icon don't
change). I only see the changes with the command : cat /proc/cpuinfo |
grep "cpu MHz"

So it don't solve my problem...

edit : I have removed and added again the applet and it now show the
changes. So I can confirm that nothing seems to have changed...
