[Bug 68187] Re: xine was unable to initialize any audio drivers. error

2009-02-21 Thread Sulamita Garcia
Amarok started to showing this bug some days ago, but only today I had
time to try to fix it. No media applications was able to play sound. The
only thing that worked was killing esd, so everything started working.

Now, according to my logs, the last thing related to xine that was
upgraded was libxine1, version 1.1.11.1-1ubuntu3.2, and I always use
Synaptic to manage updates . I'm using Ubuntu 8.04.2.

This are the log and configuration file with the xserver-video-sis671
installed. After installing the package, the display turns into two
horizontal 640x400 screens, mirroring each other. Really weird...

[Bug 146594] Re: app-install-data-commercial_7.3_all.deb: unable to open files list file for package `vino'

2007-09-30 Thread Sulamita Garcia
Fixed.

I downloaded vino_2.18.1-0ubuntu1_i386.deb, extracted the list of files
with dpkg --contents, put the output in a file and replaced broken
/var/lib/dpkg/info/vino.list file.

If anyone could explain why one broken file crashes the entire package
management system, I would be glad to know. This error prevent me to
install, upgrade or remove any package, from kernel-headers to
scroobler.

I don't see any option in Settings to change that. Where can I change
