[Bug 1434830] Re: Clicking on Files bookmark doesn't open the requested folder but gives error message
I've encountered the same problem as described above on Ubuntu 18.04. In my case, the dual-boot is Ubuntu and Windows 10 and 2 NTFS partitions for Windows. Ubuntu is also installed in a different partition (as above). The steps to reproduce and the workaround are exactly the same and the issue is systematic. Attached, you will find the error message that I am getting when trying to access the bookmarked path to one of the NTFS partitions. ** Attachment added: "ErrorMsg.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1434830/+attachment/5237276/+files/ErrorMsg.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1434830 Title: Clicking on Files bookmark doesn't open the requested folder but gives error message To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1434830/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 702649] Re: Cannot upgrade to ubuntu natty
Oh, I just read your comment. I actually reinstalled Ubuntu 10.04, upgraded to 10.10, reset ubuntu with the rm -rf command I listed above, and retried the upgrade, but this time it actually worked. I think I may have figured out the reason why Ubuntu could not calculate the changes. I had added the xorg-edgers, and X-update PPA I found under Ubuntu Tweak, and updated Xorg files and ATI Drivers. So now I'm on my way to becoming an Ubuntu 11.04 alpha tester. Could not calculate the upgrade An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade: Can not mark 'ubuntu-desktop' for upgrade This can be caused by: * Upgrading to a pre-release version of Ubuntu * Running the current pre-release version of Ubuntu * Unofficial software packages not provided by Ubuntu If none of this applies, then please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the files in /var/log/dist-upgrade/ in the bug report.
