[Bug 1379912] Re: Laptop suspends again after waking up
This is happening to me, kernel 4.4.0-79. From what I've found searching this issue, it's been a bug for years? [Bug 655935] [NEW] notify-send: -t parameter does not affect the pause duration of the message

I just managed to find it on launchpad here, and... cdrtools seems a bit outdated (and perhaps unmaintained) as well. [Bug 636381] [NEW] Anyone notice how unstable qsynth is? Crashes consistantly with Segmentation Fault or Bus Error
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: qsynth Hi everyone. It seems unusual just how unstable qsynth is - (and how unstable it can make GNOME, as well.) The first time I open qsynth, it quits with a Segmentation Fault. The next time, when I try to set it to the alsa driver, it crashes as well, this time with a Bus error. (Is it possible that I don't have alsa? If so, a message would be nice.) Then, other times, it will just plain take GNOME down with it. An error message will pop up for a split second saying mintmenu needs to restart, then my DE starts up again, except none of the windows this time will have any control boxes. (Maximize, minimize, etc.) Also, firefox will repeatedly crash when running qsynth. Guys, I must be doing something wrong here. No program should behave like this and go unnoticed. I would normally let apport just handle the rest of the information, but if you guys think it's needed, please ask. ** Affects: qsynth (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Anyone notice how unstable qsynth is? [Bug 635324] [NEW] ubuntu-bug: Unable to properly report bug for storage
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: apport Originally, I wanted to report a bug about my CD-Rom drive. After looking up reporting unknown packages on the wiki, (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage#Hardware%20Malfunctions) I decided I should just do what it told me to do and use a command named ubuntu-bug (apparently in the apport package.) So, I pressed Alt + F2, typed in ubuntu-bug storage, and told it to open in a terminal. After that terminal, I was presented with several options: 1: Removable storage device is not mounted automatically 2: Internal hard disk partition cannot be mounted manually 3: Internal hard disk partition is not displayed in Places menu 4: No permission to access files on storage device 5: Documents cannot be opened in desktop UI on storage device 6: Other problem C: Cancel Since my problem was none of those, I went for option 6, hoping I could manually specify the problem. After doing so, I was given this error message: Please use ubuntu-bug packagename to report a bug against the particular package Press any key to continue... Well, that doesn't really fix any of my problems :S I just think that we should be able to specify what the problem is, when using option 6, if we don't know the package. (P.S. Does anyone find it ironic that I'm reporting a bug for bug reporting software?) ** Affects: apport (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: storage ubuntu-bug -- ubuntu-bug: Unable to properly report bug for storage https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/635324 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 635344] [NEW] After my CD-Rom is ejected, the tray will instantly retract.
Public bug reported: My apologies if this isn't in the right section, I was looking for a package named storage (as per https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage#Hardware%20Malfunctions) and was unable to find it, so this was the next best guess. Anyhow, my Sony CD-RW drive will instantly retract after it's ejected with ubuntu. This will happen regardless of whether I press the eject button on the physical drive, or use any kind of eject function within ubuntu. This is definitely not a drive malfunction. It will not do this if I run windows. [Bug 634648] [NEW] Saved settings are not used after log in/reboot/x server reboot
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nvidia-settings It seems like this has been a long lasting issue that should perhaps be fixed :S Anyhow, after installing the 17* (was it 9 or 6?) drivers, my resolution, after being changed, applied, and saved to /etc/X11/xorg.conf from the nvidia-settings control panel, is not used if I either log off then on again, restart X (Ctrl Alt Backspace), or restart my computer.
