[Bug 186049] Re: System.DllNotFoundException: libgalago

2008-06-17 Thread TOhms
Just to let you all know: I'm getting forward. At least beagle-search is
not crashing any more. There's just one more little bug and I guess I'm
finished.

[Bug 186049] Re: System.DllNotFoundException: libgalago

2008-06-16 Thread TOhms
Okay, forget the comment above. Seems beagle needed a while to get the
log into right category. Now I receive the same error and have something
to work on :)

[Bug 186049] Re: System.DllNotFoundException: libgalago

2008-06-16 Thread TOhms
Well, maybe I got something wrong here, because I am not that pidgin user. I've
started a conversation for testing and let pidgin log everything. The logfile
itself is a text file where I get the same result as with my testfile.txt
What exactly are you doing?

[Bug 206583] Re: System Monitor crashes when changing nice value of process

2008-06-15 Thread TOhms
This can be confirmed.
As I tried to check this I have noticed a strange workaround:

- Go to a directory of your choice (I prefer /usr/src) and run: apt-get source
gnome-system-monitor
- Next run: sudo apt-get build-dep gnome-system-monitor
- Go into the created directory usually called gnome-system-monitor-2.22.0
(if you got an older version you are not up to date!)
- Run the following commands: ./configure --prefix=/usr make make install

This should do the trick! Now you can run gnome-system-monitor and if
you try to change a forbidden process you'll be informed about it and
gsm keeps running.

Actually I have done this to fix the bug, but in a compiled version it
doesn't seem to happen. Maybe anyone got an idea of what is going on
here - I don't.

Cheers,
Thomas

[Bug 180560] Kandy has wrong at-command in GUI

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kandy

If you select Read Phonebook Kandy sends a wrong at-command: at+cpbr=1,0
instead of i.e. at+cpbr=1,100.

recieve and than put into corresponding at-command.

Yes I could. This time it even complained about option `-a`. So I tested
a little bit and found out that you have to comment out the options in
/etc/default/smartmontools. Some how it's interfered with
file/etc/smartd.conf.

[Bug 106747] smartd doesn't recognize its own option

2007-04-15 Thread TOhms
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: smartmontools

I've configured /etc/smartd.conf with powermode-option -n. Now if you try to
start /etc/init.d/smartmontools it complains that this option would be
unrecognized although it's inside of its manpage.
If I start smartd manually it works fine.
