[Bug 2058411] Re: Builds with gcc -fsanitize=address crashing on startup

2024-04-19 Thread Teemu Ollakka
The workaround mentioned here
https://github.com/google/sanitizers/issues/1716

  sudo sysctl vm.mmap_rnd_bits=28

made the problem go away for me.

[Bug 772183] Re: kded4 using 100% CPU - in a Unity session

2011-05-02 Thread Teemu Ollakka
I can reproduce this in the following way:
- Connect to network using wvdial to control hspda modem and make sure that
kded4 is running
- Interrupting wvdial makes that process exit, but network connection is still
on (pppd does not exit)
- Kill pppd
As a result of this, kded4 goes wild eating 100% CPU and I have to kill -6 it.

Only related messages I can find from logs are from syslog:

May 2 20:37:39 temeo pppd[4827]: Terminating on signal 15
May 2 20:37:39 temeo pppd[4827]: Connect time 7.0 minutes.
May 2 20:37:39 temeo pppd[4827]: Sent 87587 bytes, received 140373 bytes.
May 2 20:37:39 temeo pppd[4827]: Connection terminated.
May 2 20:37:39 temeo avahi-daemon[912]: Withdrawing workstation service for
ppp0.
May 2 20:37:39 temeo NetworkManager[914]:SCPlugin-Ifupdown: devices
removed (path: /sys/devices/virtual/net/ppp0, iface: ppp0)
May 2 20:37:39 temeo pppd[4827]: Exit.

[Bug 755658] Re: kded4 consumes 100% CPU

2011-05-02 Thread Teemu Ollakka
64-bit Kubuntu Natty. Killing pppd while having kded4 running makes
kded4 go wild. Attached with gdb and got the stack trace in
StackTrace.txt. Further inspection revealed that the process was stuck
looping within frame #1.
