[Bug 1436944] [NEW] Nautilus file manager uncertain or incorrect responses
Public bug reported: Since the release and my installations of 14.10, Nautilus (now 3.10.1) has not responded to commands as reliably as it used to. I find that, for example, clicking on the File menu in an application such as LibreOffice Write, may either produce no response, or may cause a currently maximised window to minimise. It may take several attempted clicks to actually drop down the File menu. With a file manager window, clicking on the Documents choice may open something else such as Home. Basically the file management just seems generally flaky in its responses. Sensing of cursor positon and mouse button input seems uncertain. I was hoping this would be straightened out by an update (I apply updates almost as soon as they are available) but this hasn't happened. I have 14.10 installed on two systems and they both show this odd behaviour. I have menus set to appear in windows title bar. I have not tried switching them to the desktop menu bar. ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1436944 Title: Nautilus file manager uncertain or incorrect responses To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1436944/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1388169] Re: Keyboard Input Methods crashes on every startup
This still isn't fixed nearly 2 months after launch and it's unassigned. It must be affecting much more than six people. I have three machines with very different hardware and it happens on all of them. It does seem as though Canonical really doesn't care about the desktop any more. Yes you can just relaunch and things sort of work but there does seem to be a problem with the USB routines. I've noticed my mouse responding in very erratic ways. Re: [Bug 890536] Re: Entries that are deleted from the Other software list just reappear.
This is now the permanent state of my system following the upgrade from 11.04 to 11.10. When I perform the deletion it appears to work, but it does not persist. Despite repeated attempts to edit the Other Software sources list through both the Software Centre or via Synaptic, the removed entries re-appear following a re-boot and the - Last updated - displays as the last time I attempted the removal rather than the last time I update. [Bug 874047] [NEW] package samba 2:3.5.8~dfsg-1ubuntu2.3 failed to install/upgrade: ErrorMessage: package samba is not ready for configuration cannot configure (current status `half-installed')
Public bug reported: Trying the upgrade from 11.04 to 11.10 on an AMD64 machine. Got 2 warning messages that Samba is broken - once during file download and at eventual install. [Bug 621881] [NEW] [line6usb - GuitarPort] Recording problem
Public bug reported: I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 64bit with all the latest patches applied running on an AMD64 dual core box. I followed the instructions on this web page http://www.ubuntugeek.com/howto-install-line6-guitarport-in-ubuntu.html to install the Line6 GuitarPort - a USB audio interface (I realise this is not and official Ubuntu supported patch). I can see the GuitarPort as a device in System - Preferences - Sound Preferences but cannot get an audio input to register on the input level display.
