[Bug 337053] Re: gmail.com and facebook.com crash firefox 3.0.6 on Unbuntu 8.10

2009-06-16 Thread TheBugSlayer
I can confirm the same bug on Ubuntu 8.04.2 (kernel 2.6.24-24) with
Firefox 3.0.0.11. Gmail.com, Facebook.com and some other sites stop
working after what appear to be a silent crash (firefox is still
running, but stops submitting forms). In Firefox Error console reports a
failure to load XPCOM component:
/usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9.0.11/composite/libpyloader.so and pyabout.py.

[Bug 319527] [NEW] Window header disappears in Gnome (since: 8.10)

2009-01-21 Thread TheBugSlayer
Public bug reported:

After upgrading to Ubuntu 8.10 (x86) I encountered problems with headers
of the windows in gnome (the path on top of the window where you have
the program's name and minimize, resize and close buttons). The header
suddenly becomes white (instead of brown color in default Gnome theme
for Ubuntu). This usually happens after you change the window focus. To
get the colors back you have to resize the window.

I tried also installing packages from proposed hoping that this will
fix the error. It didn't help.

Additional info: I have observed this error on several machines, and I
have never seen this in 8.04. Therefore I assume that this was
introduced in 8.10. This might also be a Gnome problem in general...
