xorg-driver-fglrx seems to be the problem.

I'm using the open source driver now and Hardy works fine (no more two
xorg processes or huge RAM consumption).

On my laptop (HP NC6000 with an ATI 9600), xorg appears two times in the
system monitor and seems to use an awful lot of RAM (close to 100MB for
both). The two processes uses the same amount of RAM.
