[Bug 1576726] Re: [SRU] network-manager 1.2.0

2016-12-28 Thread Theresa
Don't know if this is the right place, but I'm on Xenial and I'm
struggeling to connect with Network-Manager to an IPsec VPN tunnel
through the strongswan plugin.

I have installed the following versions:

network-manager
1.2.2-0ubuntu0.16.04.3
network-manager-gnome
1.2.0-0ubuntu0.16.04.4
network-manager-openvpn 1.1.93-1ubuntu1
network-manager-pptp1.1.93-1ubuntu1
network-manager-pptp-gnome 1.1.93-1ubuntu1

network-manager-strongswan 1.3.1-1ubuntu1

as well as:
libstrongswan 5.3.5-1ubuntu3
libstrongswan-standard-plugins 5.3.5-1ubuntu3

I get prompted for the password (EAP) although I have configured it in
the Network-Manager editor already. Syslog only says this:

Dec 28 17:35:10 herex NetworkManager[942]: [1482942910.9457]
vpn-connection[0x1e9c3d0,8d0c94c6-bbf1-4cfb-8bd6-668b930537a8,"vpn",0]: Saw the
service appear; activating connection
Dec 28 17:35:17 herex NetworkManager[942]: [1482942917.2729]
vpn-connection[0x1e9c3d0,8d0c94c6-bbf1-4cfb-8bd6-668b930537a8,"vpn",0]: final
secrets request failed to provide sufficient secrets

Is there any other way to troubleshoot this? Is someone else experiencing this
problem?
Again I'm on Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS

I'd appreciate any help on this!

thanks,
theresa

[Bug 1513699] [NEW] Light DM creates login loop

2015-11-05 Thread Theresa
Public bug reported:

After updating Ubuntu, I restarted the computer. The Light DM Display
screen came up. I thought nothing of it until I tried logging in.
Instead of logging in, it would go black for a second and bring me to

Ubuntu support groups. Nothing has worked. My laptop is 5 yrs old, so I
don't know if it's telling me it's dead.

2013-10-30 Thread Theresa Chen
Public bug reported:

Found that Network Editor crashes when you play, stop, then play the
same audio clip again, when trying to do tonal analysis with tonal
segmentation output. Attaching a screenshot of the configuration for
Network Editor which causes it to crash. Maybe this should be filed
under libclam as well.

[Bug 387308] Re: HTTPS Proxy Support for file sync

2011-07-08 Thread Theresa
I have to agree with the comments above!

Not having a proxy support AND not having a working/official Kubuntu One
client is just beyond my understanding. Instead the Ubuntu One team
focuses on working on a windows client/support.

I suppose they think the windows community is the bigger cashcow
regarding their paid-services.

I would have subscribed for a paid-service myself, if they would start
fixing the 2 most annoying bugs (kubuntu client and lack of proxy
support).

[Bug 445889] Re: no sound from integrated speakers (Realtek ALC269, snd-hda-intel driver)

2010-09-12 Thread Theresa
dear all,

to keep you updated, i finally found the solution to my problem!!

for anyone who's interested or has the same problem:

i had to add the following line at the end of /etc/modprobe.conf/alsa-
base.conf:

options snd-hda-intel model="olpc-xo-1_5"

i then rebooted, and then both the mic finally worked and the speaker
allowed me a higher volume :)

[Bug 198195] Re: Cannot submit Bug Report: "Firefox is already running...."

2008-03-25 Thread Theresa
I get the same error message, when i close Firefox 3.0 and QUICKLY (within
seconds) open it again because i accidentally closed it.
when trying to re-open firefox 3.0

i get this message:
Firefox-3.0 is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window,
you must first close the existing Firefox-3.0 process, or restart your system.

UNTIL
I kill the process, then I can open Firefox 3.0 againthat's weird.

Doesn't happen with Firefox 2 though.
