2014-07-22 Thread Thermaltaker
This bug also affects me. I have tested the new 1.42.11 but no success.
Attached the strace; the debug log is empty for my setup also.
In addition I added a strace/debug file of the 1.42.8 which worked. I hope that
might be helpful.

Confirming this. I yesterday had to lunch ppoeconf in order to connect to my

Commenting wlan0 out in /etc/network/interfaces helped me to get it work.

in 8.10 this card doesnt work out of box.
You have to install linux-backports-modules-intrepid and insert ath5k in

After that you have to blacklist the other ath-modules in

blacklist ath_hal
blacklist ath_pci

Is there no way to integrade this in jokey? It could read out lspci and compare

2008-03-15 Thread Thermaltaker

[Bug 177081] Re: [gutsy] Evince is printing garbage

2008-01-02 Thread Thermaltaker
Sorry that I answere so late.

I tried it with hardy and it is the same. But I think it happends when
you enter a text that is longer than one line. So for example on page 7
in the right box. The first line is correct and the second everytime
gets garbage.

So if you fill in:

testcompany
teststreet
testtown

You get the file attached.

Any idea?

[Bug 179965] [gutsy, hardy] device not accepting address

2008-01-02 Thread Thermaltaker
Public bug reported:

I have an external usb hdd here (exactly this one:
http://fukato.de/download/pdf/fu_dbr_gigacask35_dgb.pdf) wich is running well
under windows (I really dont like to say that). But under Ubuntu it isnt
working with usb2.0
I have read older entries here and all over the internet, this bug exist until
2004! How can that be?

The only way to get this device working is to unload the usbdriver:

sudo modprobe -r ehci_hcd
and to add a line to the blacklist.

I hope it will be fixed soon. I am keen to get Ubuntu running in all companies
I work with, but that kind of bugs doesnt really assists.
Attached the log files.
