[Bug 575305] Re: altgr does not work if automatically logged in
Same problem for me, with Ubuntu 10.04 with a French layout, and the evdev driver for the logitech G11. Bug is present with automatic login, but if i logout/login, it works fine. May I ask to increase a bit the importance of this bug ? [Bug 207454] Re: Firefox is VERY slow rendering pragprog.com; becomes almost unusable
I have a similar problem with opacity. I just set the opacity of my main DIV to 85% , then the page is very very slow to render. I have interpid ibex with ; - Intel Core 2 Duo - 2 GB RAM DDR2 - nVidia GeForce Go 8600M GT with non free drivers. It does not happen with other configurations I test . I am not sure the 2 others bugs are realy duplicated of this one because I do not have other problem of slow rendering. [Bug 207135] Re: pulseaudio uses too much CPU
I have the same problem with my AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3500+ under Intrepid Ibex 32Bits. [Bug 121815] Re: r8169 stops working after a while
i have a very similar problem (i think) , but with the 2.6.24-19-generic kernel : After a while (can be very long, or just 5min ...) , ehternet connexion crash, adn I get this message in dmsg : [ 2334.384327] NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0: transmit timed out [ 2335.212774] r8169: eth0: link up When it happens, the only way to make it work again is to restart the computer. /etc/init.d/networking restart do nothing If I unload/reload the r8169 module, the mac in ifconfig become ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff I noticed that it happen smore often when Azureus is running .. Moreover, I do not know if it is the same bug, but if I plug the ethernet cable when the system is booting, most of the time my ethernet connexion will not work at all. I need to plug it before turning on the computer of after beeing logged-in to be sure it will work (at least at the beginning..) I can not test Intrepid Alpha right now, I will be able in 2 weeks i think. Here is my lscpi -v : 05:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. [Bug 160173] Re: Impress -effects cumulatively eat CPU
Here it is an example, but on my machines, it can be reproduced by adding any type of animation... Just open the document , each time your launch the slides (F5) and play the animation (click), the CPU usage of soffice.bin increase. After a certain number of repetitions, the CPU usage can easily reach 100%. But even before, Impress become quickly unusable , and animations becomes very slow. Closing only the document will put back the CPU to a normal state, but if you reopen any other document and run the slide show, the CPU usage will get back to the state before closing the first document. Here is an example of the evolution of the CPU usage: Open the document CPU 0% [Run slides (F5) , play animation (click) and close slides show ] x 10 CPU ~10% [Run slides (F5) , play animation (click) and close slides show ] x 10 CPU ~40% ... Close the document (not ooo) CPU 0% Open the document CPU ~30% [Run slides (F5) , play animation (click) and close slides show ] x 1 CPU ~40% The only way is to close OpenOffice totally , and not using anymore animations ... ** Attachment added: "test.odp" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/12553278/test.odp -- Impress -effects cumulatively eat CPU https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/160173 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 160173] Re: Impress -effects cumulatively eat CPU
I can also confirm this bug. I have experimented this bug both on my Athlon XP3500+ with ATI x850 and my old Intel Celeron @ 2.24Ghz with an Intel embedded graphics card. The initial description of this bug fit very well with my experience. It is very embarrassing, I can not use any effect in impress, because I risk to freeze my presentation... [Bug 160757] Tilda is not displayed on top with compiz
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: tilda Hello, With compiz in gutsy, when I press the key to display tilda (F1) , tilda is not displayed on the top of the screen. (but it is visible if they are no other window which can potentially hide it, but the advantage of tilda is precisely - for me - to come above others windows) Then if I click anywhere on the screen (just afer pressing F1) , tilda take the focus, and is displayed correctly on the top. But it's not practical to be obliged to use the mouse for using tilda given that it is a terminal ... It is not a very important bug, but I think that it must not be very hard to solve .
