[Bug 1913552] Re: using tpm reports "/dev/tpm0: Permission denied"
Hello Christian, basically it is the same what people do here: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1365829/qemu-failed-to-passthrough-a-tpm-device Except that you need to write "/dev/tpm0 rm," into the file, as the colon is missing and starting a VM will give you complaints on an AppArmor rule. In my opinion, the best solution would be either to let libvirt add an exception when starting a VM that needs a TPM passthrough or the exception will be made in an Apparmor file for libvirt users and its spawned processes. [Bug 1913552] Re: using tpm reports "/dev/tpm0: Permission denied"
Adding the service to apparmor works. Looks like libvirt needs an apparmor rule or prior start of a VM apparmor needs to receive the instruction to allow access as long as the VM is running. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1913552 Title: using tpm reports "/dev/tpm0: Permission denied" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libvirt/+bug/1913552/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1915784] [NEW] Permissions of executables pointing to "buildd"
Public bug reported: I've noticed this issue already with other applications, which have been updated recently, too. This morning I've updated the sudo package and it broke, too. The common issue is that fakeroot gets omitted or faulty in your build environment somehow. After looking into the current sudo package I've noticed that all files are owned by "buildd:buildd", which doesn't exist on my computer and thus the 2001:2501 on my local machine. I'll try to collect some other packages, too, which have the same problem. [Bug 1913215] Re: Random kernel bugs on nouveau driver and NVidia 1070 Ti
I've got a very specific setup here, which relies on a btrfs filesystem to be mounted. However, starting with 5.11.x there is a check prior mounting, which prevents me to boot. It tells me basically something like "failed to read chunk tree", but I don't see anything in btrfs-progs which could fix it. [Bug 1766092] [NEW] Segmentation faults after upgrade from 5.9 to 5.10
Public bug reported: I'm maintaining the Cura PPA here on launchpad.net and I found the following issue on Ubuntu Bionic. Before an upgrade from 5.9 to 5.10 it was possible to run Cura without any issues. Any other version of PyQt5 in older Ubuntu release just started to throw this kind of error. I don't know exactly why (because I was too busy with my BA graduation), but basically all PyQt5 packages act the same now with Cura: They are generating segmentation faults. There are also other people from other distros, who have a similar problem. This issue report might be inspiring for a patch: https://github.com/Ultimaker/Cura/issues/3438 The PPAs where the error appears are: ppa:thopiekar/cura ppa:thopiekar/cura-master Installing Cura to reproduce the error is easy as usual: apt update, apt install cura. [Bug 1364035] Re: armhf: dtb movement from /lib/firmware/$(uname -r) to /boot/$(uname -r)
AH! This is actually no bug! The idea is to use flash-kernel to cat the kernel image and dtb into one zImage, which the default u-boot environment can find. Saving all dtb files to /lib/firmware/ saves space on the (probably) limited boot-partition... [Bug 1528379] [NEW] libGLESv2 can not be found
Public bug reported: I don't know whether it is really releated to "qtbase-opensource-src", but I noticed here on my Odroid U3+ problems in Qt5 applications finding libGLES2. Additionally KDE Plasma 5 isn't running at all. I found that problem using "strace " were I saw that /lib/*/mesa-egl/ wasn't checked, just /lib/*/. Installing the debug package of libgles2 of course adds the missing file by linking /lib/*/libGLESv2.so to /lib/*/mesa-egl/libGLESv2.so. Can someone at least confirm this? [Bug 1499996] [NEW] [Wily] nvidia-libopencl1-* not installable
Public bug reported: I just noticed that installing the OpenCL doesn't work. When trying to install any of these packages APT wants to remove all packages related to ocl-icd-libopencl1. Well, while looking at the nvidia packages I noticed that all nvidia-libopencl1-* packages want to replace and provide libopencl1, but this might be the old name of the generic library. Public bug reported: I'm not really sure about clang and I'm sorry if I'm wrong, but I found something curious while packaging gnustep in my own PPA. While building gnustep-libobjc2 on launchpad and locally in pbuilder I found out that my build is missing a header, as you can see here: https://launchpad.net/~thopiekar/+archive/darling/+build/4896672 On amd64 this header seems to be present as builds don't fail and if I switch to clang-3.2 on saucy i386 the same code gets built very well. [Bug 1170589] Re: [raring] wicd-daemon fails to start
He is talking about the workaround I suggested in my bug-description. Just take an editor and superuser rights to edit the wicd-daemon.py at /usr/share/wicd/daemon . If nothing changed so far in the source code, you'll need to edit the line 1705 into: if not (os.path.exists(backup_location) or os.path.lexists(backup_location)): NOTICE: As we are editing Python source code the spaces before the if are needed! As I have got saucy now here running, I'm not sure about that, but is that bug not fixed at the moment? I remember there was a update some weeks after I reported this bug.
