[Bug 657788] Re: grub minimal bash after first Maverick update
I'm not sure whether this is related, but on upgrading to Maverick I too had the issue of grub dropping to a minimal shell. It was coupled with a message about udevadm trigger not allowed when udev not configured. A workaround was to stop grub from using UUIDs. For me using Grub 2 this meant editing /etc/default/grub and setting "GRUB_DISABLE_LINUX_UUID=true". This prevents grub dropping to a shell, but it still waits for a timeout on the udev message before finally booting. -- grub minimal bash after first Maverick update https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/657788 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 358654] Re: udevadm trigger is not permitted while udev is unconfigured
I also had this problem. The solution was to stop grub from using UUIDs. For me using Grub 2 this meant editing /etc/default/grub and setting "GRUB_DISABLE_LINUX_UUID=true". Unfortunately this does not fix the core problem, but it does at least allow you to boot. -- udevadm trigger is not permitted while udev is unconfigured https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/358654 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 515655] [NEW] ubuntuone client in proposed not syncing files
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client I don't know how to tell if this is a duplicate of all the other bugs with sync problems, so I'm creating a new one. I added new files that didn't exist on the server or any of my other computers and these were reported to be successfully synced. However when I checked the web client later they were not there. When I then got back and checked the original computer they were marked as ".u1conflict" files. As they had never existed on the server or anywhere else, I removed the ".u1conflict" extension and they were reported to have been successfully synced. They still did not appear on the server. I then restarted the ubuntuone client to add debug information, added files to my Ubuntu One folder, and this time nothing happened at all.
