[Bug 1747568] Re: Mouse clicks ignored in Wayland

2018-02-06 Thread Thomas Kregelin
@enigma0

Oh boy, when I read your reply it somehow rang a bell ...

At home I checked what actual PPA I am using for the newest Mesa
packages - and it turns out I too use
https://launchpad.net/~oibaf/+archive/ubuntu/graphics-drivers

I mixed that up ...

PS: I got the fix from your hint in your post:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-
shell/+bug/1730174/comments/13

Thanks for that - that made my day.

[Bug 1747568] Re: Mouse clicks ignored in Wayland

2018-02-06 Thread Thomas Kregelin
I had the same issue and I disabling the default for Wayland also
resolved it for me.

(I had to uncomment the line #WaylandEnable=false in
/etc/gdm3/custom.conf.)

Initially after updating from 17.04 to 17.10 I had no troubles. For me
this mouse issue appeared some time after (not right away) using
ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/updates for the latest Mesa releases.

By the way, also mouse hovering over an element that would usually focus
on hovering over it did not work for me in a Wayland session.

I can confirm this. My system is Ubuntu 16.04.1.

[Bug 1418706] Re: Vivid: UEFI: blank drive incorrectly detected as existing BIOS-mode install

2015-04-17 Thread Thomas Kregelin
@Paulo

No, have not seen that message during install.

Had it before though, when I tested iso files of before 17 April 2015.
Don't remember exactly of which dates those dailys were, however.

[Bug 1418706] Re: Vivid: UEFI: blank drive incorrectly detected as existing BIOS-mode install

2015-04-17 Thread Thomas Kregelin
My System: Dell XPS 13 (2015) (9343)

I had the same problem until now.

Today I tried to install again with desktop-amd64.iso of April 17, 2015.

This time it installed correctly and I could boot without any problems.

Installed in UEFI Mode, Secure boot off.

After one successful boot I enabled secure boot. No problems.

Seems to be fixed?!

[Bug 297792] Re: [Regression] Olympus LS10 internal disk in 8.10 don't automount

2014-06-17 Thread Thomas Kregelin
I am using Ubuntu 14.04 and I have the same problem when I plug an
Olympus Digital Voice Recorder DS-5000.

The Voice Recorder has an internal memory of 1GB. Additionally the
recorder has an SD-Card Slot.

When I connect the recorder to my pc via usb with an additional SD-Card
inserted, syslog shows the above mentioned sense key errors. Neither
internal memory nor SD-Card is mounted via the automounter.

When I use the recorder without the external SD-Card, the automounter
correctly mounts the internal memory.

PS: When using the external SD-Card, I can mount both memory portions by
hand using the mount -t vfat command.

Both memory portions are formated as FAT16.

This bug is really annoying.

Is there a log that I could provide to analyze this issue?

[Bug 1002983] Re: Wrong URL / path used for repository

In the Software Settings Preferences GUI i switched the Download Source
(Download from:)

from Server for Germany to Main Server.

That workaround fixed it for me.

[Bug 234480] Re: autofs hangs when server unavailable

2012-05-16 Thread Thomas Kregelin
This bug is still persistent in Precise Pangolin.

I use the workaround:

sudo service autofs stop

during startup at the moment but that is quite unsatisfactory.

Any updates on this?
