[Bug 1054282] Re: No obvious way to restrict shopping suggestions from displaying adult products
Just my own personal ideas here, so take them as you see them. 1. Have this be an opt-in during installation, as is the case with the 3rd party software and installation of updates 2. Have an opt-in opportunity the first time the Dash is opened, and have it mention the setting which can be in the Ubuntu Settings Manager. 3. If this is something that simply will not be disable, have it instead be its own separate lens on the Dash, instead of part of the Home lens. Given the number of lenses and such that are available from 3rd parties, I doubt that this will be much of a challenge for the Ubuntu team. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1054282 Title: No obvious way to restrict shopping suggestions from displaying adult products To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-lens-shopping/+bug/1054282/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1033194] [NEW] Empathy: Blocked contacts still able to message me
Public bug reported: When I first activate Empathy, I recieve sometimes up to 4 different IMs from bot-contacts that I have already blocked. The block list within Empathy is empty, despite the contacts being shown as blocked when I go into the menus from the conversation. Expected behavior: Blocked contact shows up in blocked contact list, and is unable to contact me again. $lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Release:12.04 ~$ apt-cache policy empathy empathy: Installed: 3.4.2.1-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 3.4.2.3-0ubuntu1 Version table: 3.4.2.3-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise-updates/main amd64 Packages *** 3.4.2.1-0ubuntu1 0 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 3.4.1-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/main amd64 Packages ** Affects: empathy (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1033194 Title: Empathy: Blocked contacts still able to message me To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/1033194/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1] Re: Microsoft has a majority market share
I have been applying a patch to this bug in Central Illinois. I am a member of an organization called "Freecycle" (http://www.freecycle.org) and have been using their network to distribute X/Kubuntu-loaded computers to people in need. I figure that, since Microsoft would only end up charging them so much to keep Windows, I may as well take it upon myself to provide a more reasonable alternative. I do distribute the computers with the ubuntu-restricted-extras and WINE installed, but that is due to user-friendliness more than anything. After all, I know more than a few people - even people on this very forum - would be quite upset if they got a computer and found out that it wouldn't play MP3s. -- Microsoft has a majority market share https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
