Re: [Bug 984054] Re: package cairo-dock-plug-ins-data 3.0.0.0rc1 failed to upgrade to 3.0.0.1

2012-04-17 Thread Tim Hawes
Thanks for the reply. I have upgraded. Beautiful work on this release so
far, this will be the best Ubuntu yet!

No need to apologize for Beta software; I agreed to drink the koolaid ;P

 Thank you for the bug reports! and sorry for the problem...

 The new version with the solution should be uploaded in a few hours (I hope
 ;) ).
 (But you can temporally fix this bug by removing 'cairo-dock-data' and
 reinstall 'cairo-dock')

$ sudo dpkg -r cairo-dock-data
$ sudo apt-get install cairo-dock

I update almost daily (apt-get update apt-get upgrade). The problem
went away a while ago. Maybe about two weeks ago. I should be more
active in updating issues I submit. Thank you for following up.

[Bug 467000] Re: insserv doesn't work with upstart

2011-03-16 Thread Tim Hawes
Unfortunately, it appears upstart-job has still not been patched
upstream for 10.04.2, and the patch needed to be updated (just line
number changes).

Just in case this post gets outdated and upstream has still not patched this
file, all the patch does is add:
lsb-header)
$ECHO ### BEGIN INIT INFO
$ECHO # Provides:  $JOB
$ECHO # Required-Start:
$ECHO # Required-Stop:
$ECHO # Should-Start:
$ECHO # Should-Stop:
$ECHO # Default-Start:
$ECHO # Default-Stop:
$ECHO # Short-Description: $JOB, converted to upstart.
$ECHO ### END INIT INFO
;;
to the end of the case statement, just before the default:
*)
toward the end of the file.
