[Bug 359962] [NEW] Amarok 2 crashing when updating collection in Jaunty

2009-04-12 Thread Tom Nicoll
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: amarok

Whenever I try to update my music collection (24 gigs from an external
USB HD) Amarok 2 gets to 78% then either closes or freezes the entire
system. I get no error message and can't seem to be able to even
produce a backtrace. I am running Ubuntu Jaunty Beta and Amarok
2:2.02mysql5.1.30-0ubuntu2. I've reinstalled the package but it's still
the same. If I run amarok in a console I get tons of errors saying
TagLib: MPEG::Header::parse() -- Invalid sample rate.

** Affects: amarok (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 61235] Re: USB mass storage stops working after a while

2008-04-16 Thread Tom Nicoll
Bug seems to have resurfaced for me after upgrading to Hardy. Listening
to MP3s stored on an Iomega 500 GB external usb HD and the drive
unmounts after maybe 10, 15 minutes. Can sometimes reconnected by
powering off the HD and switching it back on but not always.
