[Bug 1777708] Re: Desktop briefly becomes unresponsive when typing on 2 keyboards at the same time

2020-07-15 Thread ToniO
I'm using Ubuntu 20.04, and fixed this issue with the workaround by Wiggy boy
 (Thanks!):
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/1858#note_818548
(and I also had to enable the "Source code" source as explained here:
https://askubuntu.com/questions/496549/error-you-must-put-some-source-uris-in-your-sources-list/857433#857433)

This bug was a bummer to find after switching to Gnome/Ubuntu (from
Xfce, a bit older version though) mostly because of the feelingly lower
input lag in the mouse. So having also gaming in mind, it was a bummer
to find out that the keyboard and the extra buttons on the mouse don't
work reasonably anymore without freezing with 100 % CPU :/

If the only drawback of this workaround affects keyboards other than
qwerty, please at least have a configurable option in settings to
disable other than qwerties and have a functional keyboard?

[Bug 1769309] Re: Ubuntu 18.04 boot extremely slow

2018-05-05 Thread Tonio
So I went through some logs and besides having a LOT of plymouth
messages in the boot log cycling from "A start job is running for Tell
Plymouth To Write Out Runtime Data" to "A start job is running for Show
Plymouth Boot Screen", I noticed the kernel log throwing several KMS
timeout errors as well.

So I googled a bit and found out this thread:
https://askubuntu.com/questions/893817/boot-very-slow-because-of-drm-
kms-helper-errors

It patched the bug for me. No longer slow boot/shutdown and strange
freezings in the Settings menus.

[Bug 1769309] Re: Ubuntu 18.04 boot extremely slow

2018-05-05 Thread Tonio
Ubuntu 18.04 also weirdly freezes for about 1 minute when opening the
system configuration menu. That is something that didn't happen in my
previous 17.10 installation and somehow prevents me from setting up a
monitor in my laptop. I wonder if this issue is related, since these are
the only 2 problems I've been experiencing since 18.04.

[Bug 59484] Re: Epiphany gesture extension should use right mouse button

2006-09-21 Thread Tonio
Hello,

Seems to be a technical problem rather than a choice.
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=320525

I posted a poll in the forums :
http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=261339

I think it would be great if it was (at least) configurable.

Thanks.
