[Bug 907464] Re: top panel should not go over fullscreen window in multi-monitor case
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 734908 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/734908 My use case is exactly like David Sommen's, I too often play movies (using Totem) on my TV while still surfing the internet or other stuff on my primary monitor. I don't see why unity should be allowed to break the full screen status of Totem and display the panel. I should think this error gets even more annoying when you're giving a presentation using a beamer as a secondary screen. As soon as you do anything on the laptop screen your presentation (on the beamer) will be disturbed by the panel showing upvery unprofessional! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/907464 Title: top panel should not go over fullscreen window in multi-monitor case To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/907464/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 424606] Re: knetworkmanager crashed with SIGSEGV in __dynamic_cast() after resume from suspend

Just did a fresh install of jaunty (after removing all the kde settings and such. Now the systemsettings menu is translated to dutch where it wasn't before. I didn't even have to install kde-l10-nl package or anything. (I checked, it is not currently installed) So the missing translations for systemsettings must have been caused somewhere in the kde settings?!?!?! -- [Kubuntu 9.04] Many items are in English while language is set to Spanish https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/355814 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kde4libs in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 275998] Re: internal mic capture very low volume when routed through pulseaudio
Since kde 4.2 came out I've been using kubuntu (again, switched to gnome about 18 months back) and there are no recording problemens here, it all basically works out of the box, even though pulseaudio is still installed because it's somehow needed to get sound working with flash movies in firefox. The problem might therefore not even be pulseaudio, but the interaction between the gnome volume manager and pulseaudio. Confirming it as well, quite annoying since I had just gotten used to using a shortcut to open the kicker menu and then starting programs by typing their names. [Bug 304792] Re: The package cache file is corrupted
I am getting this error on the Kubuntu Jaunty beta, with packagekit installed. I've noticed that it occurs only when downloading the package information from the various repositories takes a long time. While downloading that information the update manager usually comes up with a notification that updates are available. I can't reproduce the error in any easy way, but it has happened about 3 or 4 times since freshly installing kubuntu jaunty beta on Sunday. I use synaptic because it gives me more options and more information about packages than kpackagekit. I also have a laptop running intrepid with the experimental kde4 packages from the kubuntu experimental ppa (so it's also running kde 4.2.1). This laptop does not have packagekit installed and I have not seen this error on it yet. Perhaps I'll try disabling the automatic update function and see if that makes a difference, or otherwise uninstall kpackagekit to see if that makes a difference. -- The package cache file is corrupted https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/304792 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I've also had this error and have reported it here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/synaptic/+bug/304792 which seems to be a duplicate of this bug. I can subscribe to this, digital is all the way, I've been fiddling with a lot of settings and I can get the microphone to work, but it's just too soft, even if I scream it barely moves the pulseaudio volume meter (capture). [Bug 261018] Re: Dell XPS 1330 microphone not sensitive enough
I must admit this is just about the only hardware issue I'm having with this laptop, but I did choose to go with the intel graphics and the intel wireless card (the 4965AGN) as they are generally compatible with linux. I've been able to solve my problem by using an external mic under Hardy, but still. I suspect some of the problems with the low volume of the mic to be coming from pulseaudio because before I had skype using pulseaudio the volume, for some reason, was higer, but I couldn't use Skype alongside for instance a media player which isn't real handy either. My guess would be that somewhere in the code pulseaudio decreases the sensitivity of the mic. If it were a driver problem I'd think that the mic would not be working at all, instead of being too soft. I must admit that I'm still not convinced that pulseaudio was a step forward for ubuntu. -- Dell XPS 1330 microphone not sensitive enough https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/261018 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
