[Bug 878352] Re: 3rd Party Plugins Ignored

2011-10-19 Thread Tsjoecha
I have the same issue on 2 different laptops.

I did an upgrade to ubuntu 11.10 on both of them, both have remuco
installed as a package, but the package is not visible between my
plugins in rhythmbox.

I found however the cause : where before the plugins had to be
identified as a .rb-plugin file with a [RB PLUGIN], this now has to be a
.plugin file with a [PLUGIN] section. I renamed the thing, and the
plugin is recognised.

I don't know whether this is an unannounced change in the RB behaviour,
rather than an errouneous feature-change.

[Bug 878352] Re: 3rd Party Plugins Ignored

2011-10-19 Thread Tsjoecha
Unfortenately, I get a forbidden sign when trying to enable the plugin.
I don't have time today to look further (logging level etc), but at
least, there is a way...

[Bug 576235] Re: Unable to shutdown and restart, logs out instead

2010-05-09 Thread Tsjoecha
the sound problem can be solved by adding your login to the audio group
:

sudo adduser your_login audio

I didn't havfe the issue by installing ubuntu from the install DVD, but
as soon as I install some updates, I'm affected as well (I reinstalled
my computer several times to clarify the symptons)

I think it has something to do with permissions, both the audio the
shutdown problem. Another symptom I see, is that all options are grayed
out in System - Administration - Login Screen.
