same problem! and now solved!
1) issue: installed ygraph, and it crashed upon opening a file. (ygraph 0.16~cvs20090218-1.2ubuntu1) 2) suggested fixes in this thread: i confirm that installing xfonts-75dpi and xfonts-100dpi DOES NOT resolve the problem.
