[Bug 1611108] [NEW] snap install without sudo asks to login to snap store
Public bug reported: snapd 2.11+0.16.04, xenial. While trying to install a snap package I just built, it gives me an error message: $ snap install hello-debug_2.10_i*.snap error: access denied (snap login --help) Running the same command with sudo works fine. Logging in and trying without sudo also works fine, but it's odd. Asked in #snappy freenode channel if there was a reason for this, or docs, and answer was no. [Bug 1508110] Re: Users tab doesn't work as expected
I've been testing this for a while now and the behavior doesn't look deterministic, of ~10 machines I've tested I could see at least 3 behaving oddly, with several "resync" activities and sometimes the users list showing, disappearing and then showing again. I'll wait for the "proper" fix Free said was possible, and then I'll resume the testing. I think we should wait for that to trigger the SRU process with the proper fix. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1508110 Title: Users tab doesn't work as expected To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/landscape-client/+bug/1508110/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1508110] Re: Users tab doesn't work as expected
TL;DR Users' list is populated 1h after registration, when plugin syncs the users data. Is this the expected behavior? I've tested this fix today, steps I took: 1) In an Ubuntu Trusty fresh install, added landscape/trunk PPA. (juju deploy ubuntu, local provider, host wily) 2) Updated packages (apt-get upgrade). I ended up with: # dpkg-query -W landscape-client landscape-client 15.06+bzr824-0ubuntu0~ubuntu14.04.1 3) Enabled client debug and configured client to register machine in landscape.c.c (enable scripts, ALL, and my personal landscape account, ursinha). Once confirmed the registration, T+2 minutes I could see the machine info in landscape.c.c, processes and packages, but users tab remained empty. T+60 minutes the users' list was synchronized and then users showed up in the UI. I've manually tweaked the interval and could see it works, but users have to wait for that 1h. If this is the expected behavior I can confirm it fixes the problem.

Removing the duplicate as it seems the original issue (bug 1239710) is fixed. Using this bug to track new occurrences in trusty. I just got this, using r34 (trusty). [11:02:34] Ursinha, check is the service is running and maybe the corresponding upstart log [11:05:19] seb128, indicator-datetime-service isn't running [11:06:19] Ursinha, is there anything useful in the upstart log? [11:07:19] seb128, the only mention I could find in upstart logs is in dbus.log, the last message says: Failed to activate service 'com.canonical.indicator.datetime': timed out [11:07:53] Ursinha, is that current trusty? the indicators should be managed by upstart with the changes ted did [11:08:14] e.g they should have their own log [11:08:18] seb128, yes, trusty, r34 [11:09:45] Ursinha, well, in any case it seems like the service had an issue and timeouted, not a lot you can get now, if it happens again it would be useful to get a gdb stacktrace before the timeout ** This bug is no longer a duplicate of bug 1239710 indicator-datetime or -session missing ~10% of the time -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1247401 Title: Date/Time missing from indicators and welcome screen To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-datetime/+bug/1247401/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1239265] Re: Opening any settings page resets displays
Hi Seb, my video driver is intel (xserver-xorg-video-intel), and this problem might be related to bug 1239186. I'm not sure though. The weird thing is that the displays reset whenever I access any of the ubuntu settings, so maybe it's a bug in my driver combined with some odd behavior in gnome settings. Here are the contents of gnome-settings- daemon.log: http://paste.ubuntu.com/6290019/ . Please, let me know if there's anything I could do to test it. ** Description changed: Most times when I open, for example, sound settings (from the indicator menu or from the dash), my display configuration resets and all my monitors are turned off, leaving only the laptop screen on, as if I went to display settings and choose to turn off both monitors. If I click in "Detect Displays", the previous configuration is restored automatically. Public bug reported: I'm not sure this is a pulseaudio problem or a Ubuntu System Settings one. Since yesterday I noticed there was no sound at all, and restarting pulseaudio and the computer didn't do the trick. I reported this problem to a friend and he suggested to look closely at the output options in the Sound Settings, and although there was no headset or headphone plugged in and the "Built-in Audio" was the only device displayed, the "Mode" options in "Settings for Speakers" were HDMI ones, not the Analog that should be there for my built-in device. After seeing that, I only clicked the combobox and it immediately reloaded its options with the Analog ones, the sound started working again in the moment that happened. I'm not sure how to trigger that behaviour. At the moment my notebook is in a minidock, with two monitors connected to it via DVI. I used my computer connected to a TV a few days ago, then using an HDMI cable, and that was about all the contact my machine had to HDMI. I haven't tested sound after that, only noticed yesterday it wasn't working so probably never worked since then. [Bug 1123372] Re: gnome-tweak-tool crashed with SystemError in _on_changed(): error return without exception set
I don't know the side effects of making it return 0, so after a bit of poking in the code I realized it's crashing inside the set_properties method, which is failing and not setting a proper exception. set_property, on the other hand, that does the same but one property at a time, works fine. [Bug 955955] Re: Keyboard shortcuts get reset at every login
Hi, This is happening but not at every login: I'm not yet able to trigger the problem consistently, but last time it happened I restarted lightdm to make unity work again and when I logged in the shortcuts were gone. This is happening at least twice a week since I upgraded from Precise to Quantal, and I can confirm the same problem happens in another different machine, also recently upgraded to Quantal. I have defined a shortcut to open xterm (another than the Open Terminal one), and it persists, but all the others I customized, such as moving between workspaces or toggle maximization state are gone. I actually didn't run any commands for this to happen. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1029333 Title: rhythmbox crashed with SIGSEGV in monitor_entry_file() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/1029333/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 932900] Re: Unity freeze, crashes when trying to restart - intel_do_flush_locked failed: Input/output error
This just happened to me, same thing. Unity keeps crashing and the last error message is "intel_do_flush_locked failed: Input/output error". The current mesa version is the latest one available on Precise, same goes with unity. Should we reopen this bug or file a new one? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/932900 Title: Unity freeze, crashes when trying to restart - intel_do_flush_locked failed: Input/output error To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mesa/+bug/932900/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1040260] Re: disconnecting external monitor, changing the desktop dimensions, causes windows to be moved between workspaces
I can confirm this behavior in Precise as well. All windows are moved to the first workspace when I remove it from the dock. My computer is a X220 plugged in the monitor through a dock (Lenovo ThinkPad Mini Dock Plus Series 3). ** Also affects: unity (Ubuntu Precise) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: unity (Ubuntu Quantal) Importance: High Status: Confirmed ** Changed in: unity (Ubuntu Quantal) Status: Confirmed => New ** Changed in: unity (Ubuntu Precise) Status: New => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1040260 Title: disconnecting external monitor, changing the desktop dimensions, causes windows to be moved between workspaces To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/1040260/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 974450] Re: irqbalance classifies network interfaces with custom/renamed interfaces as class other
James, IIRC, according to the rls-q-incoming process, the tag should be added only if the bug isn't targeted to the current dev release, which this bug is. That's why I removed the tag! :) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/974450 Title: irqbalance classifies network interfaces with custom/renamed interfaces as class other To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/oem-priority/+bug/974450/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
