[Bug 1703276] Re: Could not install grub 2
Thank you, Phillip. I realized what you tell me, since I tried the install procedure with a dvd, instead of a usb pen-drive. For some strange reason, the caveats I was offered with the dvd installation disk (burned with the same iso download), where much more comprehensive and suggesting than with the usb installation. All in all, it worked perfectly. Thanks for your answer, anyways. Problem bypassed. I closed the upgrade window. Ran a partial upgrade, which led to the same error. Closed the upgrade window again and made a smooth reboot. Re: [Bug 1385545] Re: 14.10 upgrade fails with the error : - Could not calculate the upgrade due to poor mirror
Hi Brian, although that may be the case of some users, I can state that it is not mine. I already had the main server preset as default. I updated 14.05 a few times and tried to update the distro to 14.10: I am still getting the same error. So, in some cases it may be the mirror, in others, not.
