[Bug 1962593] Re: SMB Mount to backup directory prevents mounting parent directory
Hello Dan, thank you for reporting this bug. I am triaging this as "Medium" for Ubuntu because it has "a moderate impact on a core application" but "Low" for Déjà Dup (upstream) as it does not affect any interaction in the application itself. Some comments on the proposed solutions: Déjà Dup is unlikely to implement a new "Share root" because that goes against the policy of providing a tool for (new) standard users and keeping the interface as simple as possible. The second solution is much better in this regard as it hides the workaround from the user. Leaving Déjà Dup as "New" for now as I will have to check who does the mount in the end. ** Changed in: deja-dup Importance: Undecided => Low -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1962593 Title: SMB Mount to backup directory prevents mounting parent directory To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/deja-dup/+bug/1962593/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1710309] Re: Deja-dup fails to create encrypted backup
** Changed in: deja-dup (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed ** Summary changed: - Deja-dup fails to create encrypted backup + Backup does not recognize gpg 2 option and fails ** Description changed: Attempting to create a full backup to a SMB NAS, succeeds if backup is set to unencrypted. Fails if password is specified. Symptom: deja-dup loops endlessly through "scanning" -> "encryption password needed" -> "require password?" and round and round. Possibly related to recent gnupg options changes? Creating a GPG key pair for enigmail to use was the last major change i made to my set-up since the last time these back-ups succeeded. If that's the cause, i'll be darned if i can work out what to revert where. + + Release:Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS + deja-dup34.2-0ubuntu1.1 + duplicity 0.7.06-2ubuntu2 ** Tags added: xenial -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1710309 Title: Backup does not recognize gpg 2 option and fails To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/deja-dup/+bug/1710309/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1700645] Re: Encrypted backup repeatedly asks for password on first use
Hello James, this should not be triggered by Déjà Dup, but by a combination of a file /etc/X11/Xsession.d/90gpg-agent together with an entry "use-agent" inside of ~/.gnupg/gpg.conf.
