[Bug 1567074] [NEW] Realtek driver doesnt work when network is on lower speed
Public bug reported: I have " Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev 02)" but network doesn't work unless I manually run sudo ethtool -s enp6s0 autoneg off speed 10 duplex full It seems like the speed gets auto negotiated incorrectly. Very often the cable is reported unplugged, or somtimes it is reported connected, but no packets fly. After running the ethtool it works, but the command has to be re-run always e.g. after wakeup after suspend. Is there a way to force the network speed? Network may work, if the system has been off for a long time, but after suspend it never works. [Bug 1555775] Re: WiFi + wired ethernet broken after suspend on Alienware 15 R2
I have also the same issue, but I have a Realtek card. Running ubuntu 15.10 and after suspend or restart it is saying network cable unplugged very often. And network seems to go down everytime you suspend. Unpluggin and plugging it sometimes help, but you may need to do it multiple times. Re: [Bug 789637] Re: Mobility Radeon X1300 2d performance in flash + segfault in glxinfo
Hi, thanks for the email! Really positively surprised you contacted. However, on wifes request I had to re-install the machine with Windows so it is hard for me to test this anymore. She was not good enough doing this insmod stuff ;) I still have the laptop, and I could re-install the newer release in future, but unfortunately I can not do it soon. If it's solved in the new release and you think it's worth backporting the fix, please indicate that. Or if having the fix in the new release is good enough, feel free to close out the bug (or let us know and we'll close it.) If it's not solved, leave the bug report open. I can't promise we'll get to it (we get way more bugs filed than we can usually get to), but your testing and feedback can help out if and when we do. ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-ati (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/789637 Title: Mobility Radeon X1300 2d performance in flash + segfault in glxinfo Status in “xserver-xorg-video-ati” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Binary package hint: xorg Using 11.04, and flash videos are completely unusable, as short while after you started watching them your CPU gets so hot that the performance drops too much. [Bug 726151] [NEW] Unity launcher flickers
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: unity-2d-panel I am using Unity that comes with the latest natty development branch (as of 27.2.2011). Unity seems to be very unstable on my Acer aspire 5100 laptop (amd64 bit version). Most visible error is that launcher keeps flickering on the left side of the desktop (coming and going back and forth many times in a second). This starts happening when I just login with unity features enabled. Classic desktop seems to work ok. Often the graphics in the launcher are also garbled. Re: [Bug 726151] Re: Unity launcher flickers
Not 100% sure. Just installed natty week ago, and I mean the one that was installed on it by default on my laptop. It looks like in the sceenshots below: http://bfiller.wordpress.com/2011/01/13/unity-2d/ Anyway, installed the updates from your ppm, and the flickering is not there any more with your packages.
