[Bug 654676] [NEW] Missing Build-Depends: libfftw3-dev

2010-10-04 Thread Vianney le Clément
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: imagemagick

In maverick, the imagemagick source package misses libfftw3-dev as a
Build-Depends.
As a result of this, the installed binary package comes without FFT support.

It seems libfftw3 is in main, so I do not see any reason why imagemagick
shouldn't depend on it.

[Bug 637895] [NEW] libswscale-dev depends on non-existing libswscale-extra-1

[Bug 415667] Re: libx11-data: compose ellipsis problem

2010-01-03 Thread Vianney le Clément
I have the same problem in karmic.

However, the bug doesn't happen when one selects X Input Method as
input method (you can change it by right-clicking on a textbox and
choose from the Input Methods submenu). By default, karmic (and
probably jaunty too) uses IBus. As a workaround, you can add export
GTK_IM_MODULE=xim to /etc/environment.

The drawback is that I face another bug using XIM in gedit: whenever I
use a hotkey (for example Alt+... to access menus), the Compose key
completely stops working afterwards. To make it work again, I have to
reselect XIM from the input methods menu.

Bad news: KVM_CAP_DESTROY_MEMORY_REGION_WORKS only appears in kvm.h from

[Bug 204413] Re: nautilus memory leak

2009-02-19 Thread Vianney le Clément
I have a similar problem. After some normal use, nautilus eats up 300MB
RAM, with the only remedy being restarting nautilus. I have opened no
folder containing videos, so it isn't the video thumbnailer, however,
there are lots of pdfs which get thumbnailed.

This problem only appeared recently for me. I'm not sure it is related,
but I've started using compiz at about the same time. I don't remember
seeing this bug when I used metacity. It may be a path to explore
(however, I don't have time for it right now).

kvm -m 512 -cdrom incognito-i686-2008.1-r1.iso

switch to another worspace; it will fall to 0% and the livecd won't
continue to boot till you switch back to its workspace.

[Bug 191292] Re: openoffice.org Accented displayed incorrectly

2008-07-02 Thread Vianney le Clément
Same problem here in oocalc. The displayed characters are sometimes
wrong, but when clicking on the cell, the content shown in the toolbar
is correct.

Restarting OpenOffice sometimes solve the problem with some characters
(but not always all of them).

This bug also shows up in the development version of OpenOffice 3
(tested with ooo-dev300 m21). I downloaded this one directly from the
official site, so it seems the problem is either upstream or located in
another library (pango?, although unlikely, as we would have seen the
bug elsewhere too).

As for the video driver, I use proprietary nvidia, but I really don't
think it's related. The bug also appears when opening a single document.
And last but not least, I've experienced the bug on both 32 and 64 bits
versions of ubuntu.

I've read somewhere about setting the LANG environment variable to
en_US.UTF-8, but that doesn't help.

Oh, btw, OpenOffice isn't able to find any JRE, although I have sun-
java6 and sun-java5 installed. When trying to add the path manually, it
complains about the directory not holding any JRE. Could this be
related?

[Bug 117003] strange scroll when viewing a pdf, after reload, with index in side pane

2007-05-26 Thread Vianney le Clément
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evince

When viewing a pdf in evince, the scrolling is quite strange after
reloading and while the Index side pane is visible. This bug happens
when the view is set to Continuous. When you scroll out of a page and
the next/previous page becomes active (it's border becomes black instead
of gray), the view will jump to the first title on that page, as if
you clicked on it in the side pane.

Tested on Ubuntu Feisty Fawn (Gnome desktop), evince 0.8.1-0ubuntu1.

Steps to reproduce:
- open a pdf with structure information in evince
- make sure View-Continuous is checked
- reload the document (View-Reload or Ctrl+R)
- make sure the side pane is visible and it is set on Index
- scroll down to the next page with a title on it
