[Bug 483022] [NEW] Should have implemented "extract to..." button in addition to "extract here" on archive files.

2009-11-15 Thread Vidar Waagbø
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

Please consider this as a feature request:

There should be an option to choose "Extract to..." in the right click
menu on archive files (similar to the way WinRAR integrates with
Windows). This feature should, like the "Extract here..." function, be
able get multiple archive files as input. This feature will greatly
increase the functionality of Ubuntu archive handling.

Running:
Ubuntu 9.10 x64
Nautilus 2.28.1

** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 482599] [NEW] Epiphany crashes when entering Google Apps/Gmail

2009-11-14 Thread Vidar Waagbø
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: epiphany-browser

When entering my Google Apps gmail site (webmail.waagbo.com) I can log in as
usual.
But when I'm logged in and the gmail interface starts loading the browser
crashes (quits unexpectedly).

Using Epiphany 2.28.0 with Ubuntu 9.10 64-bit version:

epiphany-browser:
  Installed: 2.28.0-4ubuntu1
  Candidate: 2.28.0-4ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 2.28.0-4ubuntu1 0
500 http://no.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/universe Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

lsb_release -rd:
Description:Ubuntu 9.10
Release:9.10

Was unable to find any logs.
Do you know where they are supposed to be?

[Bug 429373] Re: Sound is stuttering using libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio and alsa packages.

Hmm...
Posted the wrong attachment.
This comment contains the dosbox.conf file i use to get correct audio output.

[Bug 429373] Re: Sound is stuttering using libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio and alsa packages.

2009-11-07 Thread Vidar Waagbø
Hi,
Setting all the rates mixing rates in dosbox.conf to 44100 instead of the
default value 22050 will decrease the intensity of the stuttering and sound
glitches (confirmed by me and Michał Gołębiowski). This is probalbly

As Adam told us in the last post. I can confirm that increasing the
buffer in the config file will reduce problems even further (to a near
perfect situation). Tested with 'dunemidi.exe' Adlib playback program
and 'lotus.exe' from Lotus - The Ultimate Challenge.

Are there any buffering differences between the esound and pulseaudio
SDL libraries as the pulseaudio driver apparently needs a bigger buffer
to work properly?

Note:
Dosbox 0.73 does not create a config file unless you tell it to (by typing
config -writeconf). I have included my dosbox.conf file. It is optimized for
use with the libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio package. All the playback rates are set
to 44100 and the mixer buffer is set to 50ms instead of 10ms as Adam
recommended.

[Bug 429373] Re: Sound is stuttering using libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio and alsa packages.

2009-10-04 Thread Vidar Waagbø
Hmm... a possible workaround, but not a satisfactory solution. DOSBox is
fully capable to run DOS application wich ouputs a samplingrate of 44100
(CD quality audio). Is this a problem with the way DOSBox handles audio
or is it perhaps a problem with the SDL/Pulseaudio plugin (I've only
been able to reproduce this using dosbox + libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio,
other applications works fine with the pulseaudio lib)!?!
