[Bug 969918] Re: 13fe:1d00 writing files fails on usb drives with FAT file system

2012-07-26 Thread Vinicius P. Tinoco
To update:

I have been using Kubuntu 12.04 and the problem keeps.

Kernel version: 3.2.0-27-generic

An interesting thing is: When I copy a big file to usb device, it starts
very fast (such as it was transfering to a disk cache) and after few
seconds the transfer goes down to "normal" speed.

[Bug 969918] Re: writing files fails on usb drives with FAT file system

2012-04-09 Thread Vinicius P. Tinoco
I have been experiencing this problem.

I have a HP dv6-6183.
Kubuntu 11.10

kernel: Linux (x86_64) release 3.0.0-17-generic

When copying files to Fat's file system cards (using Dolphin), copying dialog
box finish before of the copy have really done. The real copy starts after 6
seconds (so so). Using "cp" command I have the same issue (command finish and
after few seconds, real copy starts)
I tried to find some messages on kernel log or monitoring UDEV but they don't
show any information.

[Bug 643895] Re: nvidia propietary driver fails to load X with geforce 310M

2011-01-04 Thread Vinicius P. Tinoco
I'm also having that same problem.

In boot, the Kubuntu logo displayed, after the screen is blank.

In Xorg.0.log indicates that in this connected to the DFP-0 through the
LVDS link, with information passed through the edid file, declared in
xorg.conf, but there is no output even in the VGA connector.

Thanks !

Binary package hint: knetworkmanager

If you enter the Dolphin as root user (by sudo) in folder

create the file ".directory", within the same, after reboot, the
network-manager stop function and displaying the message in KnetworkManager
"Networking

I use one notebook
The problem is the following:
In System Settings - > Display - > Power Control - > Enable display to power
management is not selected, but I verified that after a certain time my monitor
entered in stand-by.
I discovered that one another control of energy of the monitor exists in System
Settings-> Border Advanced - > Power Management - > Edit Profiles.
I would like to know why the first option is kept, if it does not function!

Thanks for all and I wait to have one more time helped

[Bug 441765] [NEW] Incorrect translation for pt-br

2009-10-03 Thread Vinicius P. Tinoco
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace

I am giving here my support in the verification of bugs for the RC of
the Kubuntu Karmic Koala

Incorrect translation for pt-br in Configurations of the System / Regional &
Language. Instead of " Instalar novo idioma" he is " Instalar ovo idioma"
Also after to bring update the list of languages (to click in the button "To
install new language", they had been two options "Brazil Portuguese" e
"Portugues do Brasil".

In the border "Advanced", the screens of the "Akonadi configuration", "Device
Actions", "File Associations" and "User Management" no are translated. Probably
these will be corrected tie the official launching

Thanks, and I wait to have helped
