[Bug 152296] Re: Upgrade to 7.10 hangs at Modifying the software channels/Checking package manager

2007-10-19 Thread Wade Simmons
I can confirm the same problem on one of my desktops (after the some
support for packages ended dialog, the update-manager freezes). Let me
know if there is any information that I can collect to help debug this.

[Bug 118277] Re: redraw issue with multiple monitors

2007-07-20 Thread Wade Simmons
This might have been specific to the proprietary nVidia drivers. This
bug originally occurred on a ThinkPad G41 (with a GeForce 5200 I think).
I recently upgraded to a ThinkPad T60 with an ATi card and I no longer
experience this issue.

[Bug 97243] Re: Gnome-phone-manager doesn't discover any device

2007-07-16 Thread Wade Simmons
Having the same problem with Feisty and a RAZR. I can see the phone
with hcitool. Here are the messages I see in the console:

** Message: New connection device is empty
** Message: No device!
** Message: Exiting connect thread
** Message: inquiry complete

the last message appears about 1 minute after clicking refresh in the
scan devices window.

2007-07-13 Thread Wade Simmons
manually built and installed 9.0.48.0.0ubuntu1~7.04.0 on my Feisty
machine and it appears to be running perfectly. This was the first
install of flashplugin-nonfree on my machine (not an upgrade).

I edited my sources.list manually. I must have just missed the feisty-

Thanks Ryan, adding universe to my feisty-security apt.source fixed it
for me as well. Should the vim updates be split across sources like
this?

[Bug 118277] redraw issue with multiple monitors

2007-06-01 Thread Wade Simmons
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-launch-box

When invoking gnome-launch-box on a different monitor, an empty
rectangle is displayed on the last monitor gnome-launch-box was shown
on.

(I will attach a screenshot)

steps to reproduce:

1. invoke and close gnome-launch-box
2. switch focus to a different monitor
3. invoke gnome-launch-box again, an empty rectangle showing through to the
desktop will show up on the first monitor.

[Bug 110152] Re: vim-gtk install failed in feisty (7.0.4)

2007-05-23 Thread Wade Simmons
I am running into a similar problem (cannot install vim-gtk in feisty),
but with the following cause:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  vim-gtk: Depends: vim-common (= 1:7.0-164+1ubuntu7) but 1:7.0-164+1ubuntu7.1
is to be installed
   Depends: vim-runtime (= 1:7.0-164+1ubuntu7) but 1:7.0-164+1ubuntu7.1
is to be installed

Looks like a package for vim-gtk 1:7.0-164-1ubuntu7.1 has not been
created.
