[Bug 153943] Re: Gdebi-kde uses massive amounts of memory!
What is the status of this bug, someone knows hy it doesn't work! I have 2 installations of Kubuntu Hardy on 2 different pcs, one of them (fully up-to-date) gives the same error as "jeroenvrp", the allocation error; the other pc which is not totally up-to-date, in fact only some packages like python and gdebi* are up-to-date, this pc gives me this errror: "Failed to fork". Please fix it! [Bug 209578] [NEW] gdebi-kde crashes with an memory allocation error
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gdebi gdebi-kde can't install any deb package on both gutsy and hardy on my system, but also tried on another ubuntu pc i have at home. This is the error: OSError: [Errno 12] Cannot allocate memory The program load, when you hit Install it shows a progressbar but doesn't do anything and show this error in terminal. Please, could this be fixed for Hardy, as it is a very important feature!!! I was there was an update but it still looks bad! The bootsplasg is really ugly! And why not set the bootsplash to 640x480 for any display and make the bootsplash image smaller, so it would look good on any pc. Why do you think, I hope you understand me!
