[Bug 1784921] [NEW] xHCI host controller not responding, assume dead

2018-08-01 Thread Waz
Public bug reported:

Hello,

I see this message that appear :

xHCI host controller not responding, assume dead
HC died; cleaning up

There is a patch available that is included in 4.18 but it would be
nice, if it's possible, if it could be included in current Ubuntu
kernel.

Here is the patch :

https://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/10479909/

Commit to 4.18 :

https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?h=v4.18-rc4=229bc19fd7aca4f37964af06e3583c1c8f36b5d6

Note that it looks like it depends on commit bcaa9d5c5900 ("xhci: Create
new structures to store xhci port information") at least, which is a
non-trivial patch.

There is more infos here :
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1597333
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=236536

Thanks !

Well I don’t use Muon but it come by default with Kubuntu 17.10. I think
apt-xapian-index is also a dependency of kubuntu-driver-manager package
that come by default too.

[Bug 1716409] Re: Unable to install flatpak on Ubuntu artful

2018-01-31 Thread Waz
I had the same error. So I installed gnome-software-plugin-flatpak and
flatpak :

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:alexlarsson/flatpak && sudo apt update
$ sudo apt install flatpak

But still had the same error. I rebooted and had the install button
(with the other error Martin noticed too on #3). Unfortunately that
doesn't worked too. I had an other error (the third...) that I attached.
Note the installation work from command line.

[Bug 1530530] Re: Installer doesn't show up on some Chromebook

Ubuntu seem to have a problem when the SeaBIOS payload doesn't re-run
the video BIOS. Some SeaBIOS payload, like the John Lewis one, reuses
the existing framebuffer vs re-initializing using the VGA BIOS.
